Appeal to Submit Objections and Suggestions on Municipal Corporation Election Voter Lists by November 27

Mumbai, Nov 2025 : The ward-wise division of voter lists for the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections has been carried out at the level of the respective Municipal Commissioners. The State Election Commission has appealed to citizens to submit any objections, suggestions, or complaints regarding this division to the concerned Municipal Corporation by November 27, 2025.

For the elections of 29 Municipal Corporations in the state, July 1, 2025, has been designated as the notified date for preparing the voter lists. The Assembly voter lists that existed on this date will be used for these elections. These original voter lists were prepared by the Election Commission of India. Their ward-wise division has been done at the level of the respective Municipal Corporations under the supervision of the Municipal Commissioners. Accordingly, the ward-wise draft voter lists were published on November 20, 2025, at the offices of the respective Municipal Corporations. Voters’ names can also be viewed on the website https://mahasecvoterlist.in. Objections and suggestions may be submitted on this website until November 27, 2025.

While preparing the ward-wise voter lists, the names and addresses of voters are retained exactly as they appear in the Assembly constituency voter lists. No additions of new names, deletions, or corrections of names or addresses are carried out in the ward-wise voter lists. The State Election Commission has clarified that objections and suggestions may be submitted to the Municipal Commissioner only regarding typographical or clerical errors made during the ward-wise division, such as incorrect shifting of a voter to another ward or omission of a name from the ward list despite it appearing in the Assembly list.
