Rajasthan Shines at National Gopal Ratna Awards 2025 with Three Top Honors

Jaipur, Nov 2025 : Rajasthan created history again by winning the highest three national awards across the country. The Central Government honored Rajasthan with the National Gopal Ratna Award-2025 in three major categories. Out of 2,081 applications received from across the country, Rajasthan winning in three categories reflects the state’s strong dairy system, innovation, capability, high quality, and technical proficiency in milk production.

On the occasion of National Milk Day, at a ceremony held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi, Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF) was honored in two separate categories for excellence. Rajasthan achieved unprecedented success this year by winning awards in all three major national categories — Best Dairy Cooperative Society, Best Dairy Farmer, and Best AI Technician — setting a national record. The awards were presented in the presence of dairy experts, livestock farmers, and representatives from across India. RCDF’s achievement not only highlighted the state’s dairy cooperative capacity but also strengthened Rajasthan’s role at the national level.

Rajasthan Wins Three Major National Awards

Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry & Dairying Shri S.P. Singh Baghel and George Kurian presented the National Gopal Ratna Awards. The awards were received by RCDF Managing Director & Administrator Smt. Shruti Bhardwaj along with officials of affiliated district milk unions.

  1. Best Dairy Cooperative Society – Ghinoi Milk Producers Cooperative Society (Jaipur)
    Ghinoi Milk Producers Cooperative Society (Jaipur) received the Best Dairy Cooperative Society Award for 2025. The society was awarded ₹3,00,000, a merit certificate, and a memento by the Government of India.
  2. Best Dairy Farmer – Harshit Jhuria (Sikar)
    Harshit Jhuria of Sikar was honored in the Best Dairy Farmer category. He received ₹2 lakh, a certificate, and a memento. He was nationally recognized for innovative efforts to increase milk production and improve quality.
  3. Best AI Technician – Vikas Kumar (Hanumangarh)
    Vikas Kumar from Hanumangarh was selected as Best AI Technician. He was awarded a merit certificate and memento for outstanding work in breeding services and AI technology.

Rajasthan Proud: Minister Congratulates Winners

Animal Husbandry & Dairy Minister Shri Joraram Kumawat congratulated all winners and dairy producers of the state, saying Rajasthan is proud to receive the National Gopal Ratna Award. He stated that Rajasthan will continue to lead in dairy development through innovation and progressive efforts. He added that the awards reflect the dedication, quality, and hard work of the state’s dairy producers and predicted that Rajasthan will continue setting new benchmarks for self-reliance and rural prosperity.

True Credit to Dairy Producers – Shruti Bhardwaj

RCDF Administrator & Managing Director Smt. Shruti Bhardwaj congratulated the state’s dairy farmers, cooperative societies, and technicians for winning in all three categories. She said, “The hard work and dedication of Rajasthan’s dairy producers have brought this national honor to the state. This award truly belongs to them, and they fully deserve it.”

She noted that RCDF and affiliated district milk unions continue to perform excellently at the national level. Earlier, at a major national program in Ahmedabad, Bhilwara milk producer Maya Devi received the first installment of carbon credits, highlighting the state’s environmentally friendly dairy initiatives. RCDF’s biogas pilot project also received national recognition.

Last year, Rajasthan had also won the National Gopal Ratna Award in two categories, establishing a strong presence. Recently, RCDF’s technical initiatives, innovations, and farmer-centric model were specially appreciated at a Ministry advisory committee meeting in Jaisalmer.

These continuous achievements have positioned Rajasthan at the top of the national dairy map, making the state’s dairy system a model for the entire country.

Significance of the National Award

The National Gopal Ratna Award, instituted in 2021 by the Central Government, honors individuals, organizations, and technicians demonstrating excellence in the animal husbandry and dairy sector. This year, out of 2,081 applications from different states, Rajasthan secured three awards in three categories, further strengthening the state’s dairy excellence.
