CM Bhajanlal Sharma Orders Fast-Tracking of Jaipur Ring Road North Section; Calls for Immediate Land Acquisition for Proposed Greenfield Expressway
Jaipur, Nov 2025 — Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the double-engine government is working on major projects to strengthen, secure, and expand Rajasthan’s road network. He directed officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Public Works Department (PWD) to complete all ongoing projects within the stipulated timeline by maintaining high quality and ensuring close coordination.
Presiding over the review meeting of NHAI works at the Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday, he instructed NHAI to start land acquisition for the proposed Greenfield Expressway at the earliest. He also directed officials to prioritize and expedite the land acquisition process required to begin construction of the northern section of Jaipur Ring Road, which is crucial for improving Jaipur’s traffic system.
The Chief Minister further instructed the Jaipur District Collector, Jaipur Development Authority, NHAI, and PWD to jointly present a factual report on developing logistics parks, warehouses, and storage facilities along important road networks connected to Jaipur. He also ordered the immediate commencement of NHAI’s planned development works at the 200-feet intersection.
NHAI officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of road development projects including Jaipur–Beawar–Pachpadra, Jaipur–Kishangarh, Chittorgarh Bypass, and the Alwar–Bharatpur–Agra road.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas along with officials from the Chief Minister’s Office, PWD, and NHAI.
