Procurement of Pulses and Oilseeds at Minimum Support Price under PM-AASHA SchemeCrop-wise procurement dates announced

Raipur, Nov 2025 : Under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA Scheme), extensive preparations have been made for procuring pulses and oilseeds at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to increase farmers’ income and promote the cultivation of these crops. This MSP procurement, conducted through cooperative societies, will directly benefit farmers. The government has announced the procurement dates for tur (arhar), moong, urad, soybean, groundnut, mustard, gram, and lentil.

According to the notification, procurement of arhar and mustard will take place from 15 February to 15 May 2026, while moong, urad, groundnut, and soybean will be procured from 1 December to 28 February 2026. Procurement of gram and lentil will be carried out between 1 March and 30 May. NAFED will function as the procuring agency.

The Agriculture Department has begun preparations for the procurement of pulses and oilseeds for both Kharif and Rabi seasons. The government has fixed a maximum procurement limit per acre, and farmers wishing to avail the benefits must mandatorily register on the Integrated Farmer Portal managed by the Agriculture Department. Based on the registration data shared by NAFED, the procurement and payment processes will be carried out smoothly.

This major initiative by the Government of India and the State Government to expand the cultivation area of pulses and oilseeds has generated enthusiasm among farmers. The procurement of gram, lentil, and mustard during the Rabi season is expected to increase the acreage of Rabi crops. This will particularly benefit farmers in regions where paddy has traditionally been the major Kharif crop.

To encourage farmers, the Agriculture Department is also providing subsidy support under the National Food Security Mission, National Mission on Oilseeds, Double Cropping Expansion Programme, and ATMA Scheme. The Agriculture Department has appealed to farmers to sell their produce at the Minimum Support Price.
