Police Should Treat the Public with Sensitivity, Says Governor Ramen Deka

Governor Ramen Deka Meets IPS Probationers

Raipur, Dec 2025 : Governor Ramen Deka said that the police must deal with the general public with sensitivity, keeping a humane approach in mind. The image of the police is shaped by how officers interact with citizens who come to the police station to lodge complaints. Police officials should be prompt and willing to assist victims who approach the station. The Governor made these remarks today while meeting Indian Police Service (IPS) probationary officers at Raj Bhavan.

During the meeting, the Governor was accompanied by his Secretary Dr. C.R. Prasanna, Director of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose State Police Academy, Chandkhuri Raipur, Mr. Ajay Kumar Yadav, Superintendent of Police Dr. Abhishek Pallav, and Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Pankaj Shukla. Probationary IPS officers Mr. Aditya Kumar, Ms. Anshika Jain, Mr. Bansode Prateek Dadasaheb, and Ms. Sakore Mansi Nanabhau also met the Governor.
