Review Meeting of RIDCOR Projects Chaired by the Chief Secretary

Jaipur, Dec 2025 : A meeting of the Board of Directors was held on Wednesday at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary and newly appointed Chairman of the Rajasthan Integrated Development Corporation (RIDCOR), Shri V. Srinivas. During the meeting, Shri Srinivas reviewed the road maintenance and safety measures being undertaken by RIDCOR.

The meeting reviewed road projects covering a total length of 1,450 kilometres under RIDCOR. Information was provided regarding repair work carried out after monsoon damage along the road edges, including pothole repairs, rain cuts, removal of roadside shrubs, and other routine maintenance activities.

While discussing the works carried out under black spot safety measures, RIDCOR officials informed the meeting about the installation of rumble strips and zebra markings, construction of speed breakers, installation of blinkers and other road furniture, organisation of road safety awareness programmes, removal of shrubs and encroachments, closure of unauthorised median cuts, and the installation of reflective stickers on slow-moving vehicles. A total of 54 black spots had been identified on RIDCOR project roads, and all necessary corrective works at these locations have now been completed. At present, no black spot cases are pending.

Discussion on the Bhiwadi–Alwar Mega Highway Upgradation Project

The upgradation work of the existing four-lane road to six lanes from Bhiwadi Toll Plaza (Km 221+350) to Tapukara (Km 212+800) is currently in progress. The project has been approved at a cost of ₹74.90 crore, with 50 per cent contribution each from the State Government and RIICO. After RIICO gave its consent for its share, tenders have been received for civil works (₹46.57 crore) and electrical utility shifting works (₹5.98 crore), which are now being processed for execution.

Proposal for Shifting of Bhiwadi Toll Plaza

A proposal has been approved to shift the existing Bhiwadi Toll Plaza located at Km 221+350 on the Bhiwadi–Alwar Mega Highway to Gram Masit (Km 210+485). Against the estimated project cost of ₹26.20 crore, the State Government has issued administrative and financial approval of ₹14.45 crore for land acquisition (additional land measuring 0.809 hectares). The land acquisition process has already been initiated.

The meeting was attended by government-nominated members of the RIDCOR Board and nominated officials of IL&FS.
