Laxmi Rajwarde Inaugurates Road Works under CM Gram Gaurav Path Scheme
Raipur, December 2025 : The state government of Chhattisgarh is continuously taking significant steps to strengthen rural connectivity. In this direction, today, Minister of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare Department, Smt. Laxmi Rajwarde, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for road construction works approved under the Chief Minister Gram Gaurav Path Scheme in the villages of Nawattola, Telgawan, and Madar in Surajpur district.
A large number of villagers, including elected representatives, departmental officials, and Panchayat members, attended the program. Minister Smt. Rajwarde said that the state government is committed to improving transportation facilities in rural areas so that every village remains smoothly connected to development in all seasons.
Under the scheme, construction work has been approved for a total of 0.90 km of CC roads and drains, including:
- 0.20 km road from Odgi Nawattola Main Road to Khalbhara Road at a cost of Rs. 17.07 lakh,
- 0.20 km road from Main Road Bhandarapara to Bagicha Road at a cost of Rs. 17.07 lakh,
- 0.50 km road from Devalpara to Santlal at a cost of Rs. 40.23 lakh.
The total amount approved for these construction works is Rs. 74.37 lakh.
The construction of these roads will provide villagers with paved road facilities, making daily commuting easier and offering particular benefits to students, farmers, and those traveling for work. Transportation will remain uninterrupted even during the rainy season.
Minister Smt. Rajwarde emphasized that the Chief Minister Gram Gaurav Path Scheme reflects the state government’s priority for sustainable development and robust infrastructure in villages. She added that more such projects will be accelerated in the coming period so that every village can be connected with improved road facilities.
