Explore possibilities of skill development in every department: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav conducted a review of the Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skills Park in Bhopal, emphasizing the need to complete the project on schedule. He highlighted the extensive potential of skill development and stressed that skill development courses should be available at every college, including employment-oriented programs. Dr. Yadav emphasized that these initiatives should be guided by experts. The review took place at the Department of Technical Education, Skill Development, and Employment in Mantralaya on Friday, where he issued departmental directives. The meeting was attended by Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Skill Development and Employment Department, Shri Gautam Tetwal, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, and other departmental officials.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that enhancing productivity from limited land is also a form of skill development. He emphasized that skill development is crucial for increasing income and urged that skill development plans be created for every department. Departments should explore opportunities within their fields, and training programs on milk production, breed improvement, and dairy products should be organized. There are currently 956 ITIs operating in the state, and there should be an ITI in every development block to ensure no block is without one. ITI students should receive ample employment and placement opportunities. Additionally, he noted that horticulture is generating substantial employment.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that student training should align with the industrial sectors present in each district. He requested details on the products being produced by women’s self-help groups and called for arrangements to create employment opportunities for women in the textile industry. He also advocated for incorporating language education into higher and school education programs. Additionally, he stressed the need for promotion programs focused on skill development and encouraged efforts to boost employment in the tourism sector.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed for better implementation of the Mukhya Mantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana. He said that the subjects of agriculture and horticulture should be started in all universities. Start the ‘Jugaad’ program in skill development. This will be useful for less educated people. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave instructions to ensure proper arrangements to realize the vision of Global Skill Parks.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed in the review meeting to connect the private sector and society so that employment opportunities can be increased. Skill development should be given priority in new courses. Training should be given on the conservation of animal species in the forest department. Work should be promoted to preserve the King Cobra species. Also, provide training for snake rescue. Skill Development Board should be given training to provide employment. Regular meetings of the board should be organized. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released booklets of information related to the promotion and dissemination of various types of schemes in the meeting.
