Major industrial companies showed interest in investing in Punjab
Chandigarh, December 2025 : On the last day of his visit to South Korea, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s organized impressive investment roadshow received strong encouragement with the participation of leading industrial companies, and these companies expressed deep interest in investing in Punjab.
Addressing a conference of business leaders here, the Chief Minister marked Punjab as a state with stable and transparent governance, fully prepared for future investment. He said that Punjab’s strong industrial ecosystem, reliable and affordable electricity, skilled and hardworking workforce, and easy access to large markets make it the most preferred destination for investment. Bhagwant Singh Mann reiterated that Punjab’s governance model is investor-friendly, based on efficiency and complete support during the business cycle.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab’s vision is inspired by technology, innovation, and mutually beneficial relations with South Korea in priority sectors. Reiterating the Punjab government’s commitment to welcoming South Korean companies, he said it would promote innovation-based industrial growth, long-term relationships, and mutually beneficial partnerships. Bhagwant Singh Mann said this creates significant opportunities in manufacturing, technology, food processing, and research sectors.
Sharing his vision, the Chief Minister expressed the state government’s commitment to creating a prosperous future through strong economic and cultural relations. He said Punjab is known as a land of courage, hard work, entrepreneurship, creativity, and strong community understanding. He added that Punjab has always played a significant role in India’s development, particularly in making the country self-reliant in food production. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that today Punjab is moving towards becoming a hub of modern industry, technology, and global collaboration.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s governance and regulatory reforms, including the Fast Track Punjab Single-Window System, which covers 173 services, auto-deemed approvals, PAN-based business identification, and amendments in the Punjab Business Rights Act, enabling timely theoretical approvals. He also highlighted Punjab’s industrial infrastructure and stated that ground investments exceeding ₹1.4 lakh crore have already been secured through Invest Punjab. He said his vision is simple and clear—to make Punjab a preferred global industrial destination by offering policy stability, speed in decision-making, and governance that respects investors’ time and trust.
The Chief Minister said Punjab’s approach is based on partnership and working with industries, understanding their needs, and ensuring that the government acts as a catalyst for development. Bhagwant Singh Mann said Punjab has strengthened its infrastructure, expanded its industrial capacity, and opened new avenues for investment. He said partnership between government and industry is the key to success, and the state government firmly believes that industrial development is possible only when both sides work as equal partners.
The Chief Minister invited investors to participate in the 6th Progressive Punjab Investor Summit at I.S.B. Mohali campus from March 13 to 15, 2026. Bhagwant Singh Mann said this summit will showcase Punjab’s progress, bring together leading industrialists, and present new opportunities for partnership and collaboration. He reiterated that the Punjab government is fully dedicated to further promoting industrial development in the state and will leave no stone unturned.
During this, the “red carpet” laid by the Chief Minister excited South Korean companies, which expressed deep interest in investing in Punjab. Bhagwant Singh Mann hoped that such investments would not only create employment opportunities for youth but also accelerate the state’s economic growth. He assured South Korean investors of complete support and cooperation from the state government on all fronts and said promoting industrial development in the state is the need of the hour.
The Chief Minister said that this impressive investment roadshow in Seoul is part of their international outreach to establish deep economic partnerships with South Korea and attract investment to the state. He said the event saw strong participation from corporate leaders, financial advisors, R&D organizations, trade associations, and members of the Indian and Punjabi communities in Korea. Bhagwant Singh Mann said the roadshow attracted senior representatives from a wide range of South Korean and international organizations, including Bloomberg, BRICS India Trade Private Limited, leading law firms Kim & Chang and Shin & Kim LLC, Korean Association of Senior Scientists & Engineers, KOTRA, Daeyang Corporation, Gavon International Company Limited, TagHive, Punjabi Association of Korea, INMAC Global, etc.
The Chief Minister said their participation showed strong interest in exploring business opportunities, partnerships, and deep relations with Punjab. Assuring businessmen of complete facilities and a collaborative business environment, he cordially invited South Korean industrialists to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investor Summit 2026. Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Seoul roadshow is an important milestone in Punjab’s international outreach and strengthens the state’s position as a reliable, future-ready destination for world-class investors.
