CM Bhajanlal Sharma Engages with Non-Resident Rajasthani Chapters, Encourages Investment in ‘Developed Rajasthan’
Jaipur, Dec 2025: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the vast investment opportunities in Rajasthan across sectors like mining, energy, education, tourism, and healthcare. He described the participation of Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) in investing in their homeland as a “pleasing experience” and assured full support from the state government to meet investor aspirations.
On Tuesday, CM Sharma held a dialogue at the Chief Minister’s office with representatives of eight NRR chapters from India and abroad. He praised the chapters for encouraging diaspora participation in Rajasthan’s socio-economic development and investment initiatives. The CM also lauded their active role in preparing for the NRR Day to be held on 10 Dec at JECC, Sitapura.
CM Sharma noted that NRRs have enhanced Rajasthan’s reputation nationally and internationally through their hard work, while maintaining strong ties with their roots. To further engage them, the government has developed a dashboard identifying gap areas across districts, allowing diaspora members to contribute effectively to development projects with the support of local initiatives.
NRR Policy to Create Investment Ecosystem:
The CM announced the establishment of the Department of National & International Non-Resident Rajasthani Affairs, providing a robust platform for dialogue and collaboration between NRRs and the state government. He explained that the Non-Resident Rajasthani Policy of Rajasthan-2025 will foster investment, trade, knowledge exchange, and research, creating a favorable ecosystem for diaspora contributions.
Commitment to Encourage Investment:
Representatives of the chapters appreciated the government’s efforts over the past two years in creating an investor-friendly environment, which has accelerated the state’s development. They expressed determination to actively support investment initiatives, with NRR Day serving as a golden opportunity for the diaspora to reconnect with their roots. The chapters also thanked the CM for establishing the department and formulating the NRR Policy.
The dialogue was attended by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, senior officials from relevant departments, and representatives from chapters in Riyadh, Kathmandu, Ranchi, Guwahati, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Coimbatore.
