Rajasthan Leads in Realizing the Concept of ‘Prosperity Through Cooperation’; Cooperative System Strengthened Through ‘Cooperative Membership Campaign’
Jaipur, December 2025: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government has been consistently working to realize the concept of “Prosperity Through Cooperation”. To expand the cooperative movement to the grassroots level and engage the general public in larger numbers, the “Cooperative Membership Campaign” held in October proved to be highly successful. Initially scheduled from 2nd to 15th October, the campaign period was extended until 22nd October due to the overwhelmingly positive response.
During the campaign, approximately 8,500 PACS-level camps were organized, with a special focus on engaging youth and women with cooperative societies. As a result, over 8.90 lakh people applied for membership, surpassing the target of 7.34 lakh.
Out of seven divisions, six exceeded their targets. The division-wise performance was as follows:
- Jaipur Division: Target 1.25 lakh, Achievement 2.03 lakh
- Udaipur Division: Target 1.01 lakh, Achievement 1.30 lakh
- Ajmer Division: Target 1.15 lakh, Achievement 1.22 lakh
- Bikaner Division: Target 99,000, Achievement 1.19 lakh
- Kota Division: Target 53,000, Achievement 68,000
- Bharatpur Division: Target 74,000, Achievement 95,000
- Jodhpur Division: Total Achievement 1.53 lakh
The campaign also made significant progress in forming new PACS in villages without PACS. Surveys were completed in 1,706 Gram Panchayats, district-level committee meetings were held for 1,296 PACS, and 1,275 proposals for new PACS formation were received.
To strengthen the infrastructure of cooperative societies, land for warehouse construction was identified in 1,342 societies, and 1,215 societies applied for land allotment, which will significantly enhance the state’s storage capacity in the coming years.
Pending cases under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme were also addressed during the campaign. Aadhaar seeding for 38,850 farmers and e-KYC for 27,640 farmers were completed, ensuring eligible beneficiaries receive scheme benefits in an organized manner.
The campaign also promoted the new cooperative law, informing over 11 lakh people about the key provisions of the proposed new Cooperative Code. The code aims to promote transparency, good governance, and efficiency in the cooperative sector.
The campaign has strengthened the cooperative network in Rajasthan. Active participation of youth and women, along with the formation of new PACS, has further reinforced the cooperative structure. This will ensure better delivery of welfare schemes at the grassroots level and contribute to strengthening the rural economy. The state government continues to follow up on these initiatives and will take further effective measures to support the comprehensive development of the cooperative sector.
