CM Dhami Inaugurates and Lays Foundation of Projects Worth ₹108 Crore

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, on the second day of his Bageshwar visit, participated in a public gathering held at Kedareswar Maidan, Kapkot, where he was welcomed with garlanding, and the attending crowd enthusiastically greeted the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation of 42 projects worth ₹108 crore, which includes inauguration of 24 projects worth approximately ₹62 crore and foundation laying of 18 projects worth ₹45.95 crore. The program began with captivating cultural performances by school children, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.

In his address, CM Dhami said that the large public presence is proof that the state government is working on the right path of development. He added that numerous welfare schemes are being implemented for the poor, women, and youth. The Chief Minister also shared progress on the renovation and beautification of religious sites under the ‘Manas Khand Mala’ project.

He mentioned that new initiatives in winter tourism will increase year-round tourism activities in the state and create large-scale employment opportunities for local people. He further said that the government is working on a zero-tolerance policy, and under the One District-One Product scheme, Bageshwar’s traditional copper craft is gaining national recognition. The conservation works for the Saryu and Gomti rivers are progressing continuously, and the survey for Bageshwar railway line has also been completed. During the program, the Chief Minister announced that Garud Hospital will be upgraded to provide better health facilities to the local population.

Additionally, financial aid checks were provided to various autonomous cooperative and self-help groups, including:

  • Sankalp Autonomous Cooperative Group CLF (Harshila) – ₹3.23 crore
  • Urja Autonomous Cooperative CLF – ₹22.5 lakh
  • NRLM’s Samvad Mahila Self-Help Group and Jai Golu Devta Self-Help Group – ₹5 lakh each

At the venue, various departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Silk, Cooperative, Rural Development, Women Empowerment, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, and Industry set up stalls providing detailed information about government schemes. The Chief Minister inspected the departmental stalls, interacted with local artisans, listened to their issues, and encouraged their work.

The program was attended by District Magistrate Akanksha Konde, District Panchayat Chairperson Shobha Arya, Kapkot MLA Suresh Gadiya, Bageshwar MLA Parvati Das, Minister of State Bhupesh Upadhyay, Shiv Singh Vist, Deputy District Panchayat Chairperson Vishakha Khetwal, former Cabinet Minister Balwant Singh Bhauryal, BJP District President Prabha Gadiya, Municipal Chairperson Suresh Khetwal, SP Chandra Singh Ghodke, CDO R.C. Tiwari, along with a large number of local citizens.
