Jaipur, December 2025 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, through the effective implementation of public welfare schemes and development works in the past two years, remarkable achievements have been made in Karauli district in the fields of women empowerment, farmer prosperity, youth and labour upliftment, and strengthening the common public. Minister of State for Home and Karauli District In-Charge Minister Shri Jawahar Singh Bedham said in the press conference held on Thursday that through district administration and departmental coordination, the state has materialized the resolve of delivering the benefits of schemes to the last person on the ground.
Prosperous Women – Empowered Women:
Schemes being run for the overall development of women and girls have given solid results in the district. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, in two years, ₹7.33 crore was transferred to 22,561 women. Under the Mukhyamantri Maternity Scheme, 11,567 women were benefitted with assistance of ₹2.15 crore. Under the Lado Incentive Scheme, ₹2,32,87,500 was provided to 9,315 girls. Under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, sheets were distributed to 900 mothers, and baby kits were provided to 400 girls entering Class I during the Beti Janmotsav programme.
Under the Mass Marriage and Grant Scheme, 61 couples were benefitted. Under the Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Training and Skill Enhancement Scheme, 1,443 girls were given training, and ₹25 lakh was issued under the Nari Shakti Scheme. Under the Lakhpati Didi Scheme, 23,722 women benefitted, and under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Scheme, ₹1.28 crore was provided as financial aid to 348 girls. Under the Mukhyamantri Ekal Nari Samman Pension Scheme, over two years, ₹131.83 crore was distributed to 43,945 women, while under the Janani Suraksha Yojana, more than ₹4.48 crore was given to 32,661 women. Under the BPL Desi Ghee Scheme, 1,975 mothers were benefitted, and 4,570 women benefitted under the Maa Voucher Scheme.
Progress in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in the Past Two Years—
Significant progress has also been recorded in agriculture and animal husbandry. Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, 476 hectares of land were connected with modern irrigation systems such as fountain, drip, and mini sprinklers, with an expenditure of ₹88 lakh.
194 solar pumps were installed at farmers’ fields. Eligible farmers received ₹215.08 lakh in grants for establishing 45,536 sq. metre of greenhouses, and assistance of ₹0.508 lakh was provided for establishing fruit orchards in 11 hectares.
For 16,160 sq. metre shade-net houses, a grant of ₹56.42 lakh was given. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana, 126 farmers were benefitted. To promote water conservation, 248 water tanks and farm ponds were completed, and under the PM Crop Insurance Scheme, ₹1.27 crore in claim amount was provided to 614 farmers.
To protect crops, 2.27 lakh metres of wire fencing was installed, and 23,574 farmers received Soil Health Cards. Under the Vermicompost Scheme, 600 units were established and 169 units under the Govardhan Bio-Fertilizer Scheme.
In the district, 63 PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras were established. For the expansion of veterinary services, 18 new sub-centres were opened; under the Mukhyamantri Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme, 24,556 animals were insured, and under the NADCP FMD vaccination campaign, 8.57 lakh animals were vaccinated. Under the Artificial Insemination Programme, 1,55,859 animals received artificial insemination, ensuring breed improvement. Through the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, ₹1.58 crore in loans was provided to livestock rearers, and under agricultural electricity connections, 2,166 farmers received new connections.
Under the Electricity Bill Subsidy Scheme, farmers were given relief of ₹939 crore, and under the Mukhyamantri Free Medicine Scheme, 21,07,036 animals benefitted from free medicines.
State Government Moving Ahead in Youth & Labour Empowerment Through Employment and Skill Development—
The state government has made meaningful efforts for youth and labour empowerment. Under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana, 314 youths were provided employment-oriented training. Under the Mukhyamantri Skill Development Schemes, more than 951 youths were trained.
Through soft-skills programmes, personality development and employability of 2,494 youths were strengthened.
Under the Construction Labour Education & Skill Development Scheme, financial assistance of more than ₹15.81 crore was provided to 16,625 labourers. Under the PM Employment Generation Programme, ₹4.44 crore in financial assistance was approved for 112 youths/applicants for self-employment. Under the Vishwakarma Schemes, 20,439 traditional artisans and labourers were made self-reliant by providing them identity cards, training, toolkits, and loan facilities.
Under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, employment opportunities were proposed for 323 youths.
Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign Becomes a Model Mass-Movement—
The Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign, conducted by the state government from 5 to 20 June, became an example of a mass movement in the district. A total of 5,013 activities were completed, including 594 greenery activities under Hariyalo Rajasthan, 1,770 cleanliness activities, 333 land and water worship events, 64 new work launches, and inauguration of 205 completed works.
During this period, 571 shramdaan (voluntary labour) events, 1,015 IEC activities, 103 workshops, and 357 other activities were held. A total of 5,625 programmes were held, with participation from 69,052 men and 69,202 women. In water-scarce areas, this campaign has given new momentum to water conservation, greenery expansion, and awareness, establishing itself as a people’s movement.
Rural Service Camps & Urban Service Camps — Major Achievements—
Rural and urban service camps strengthened service delivery in the district.
In rural service camps, more than 21,800 cases related to mutation, boundary marking, path and partition were resolved by the Revenue Department.
Under the BPL Survey Campaign, more than 9,500 families were verified, and applications were received from more than 13,300 families.
Under MGNREGA and Panchayati Raj schemes, more than 5,400 development works were approved.
The Health Department screened and treated 1,93,444 beneficiaries under various health schemes.
In urban service camps, doorstep delivery of civic services was ensured. Health services included treatment of 11,396 people, NCD screening of 6,718 individuals, and TB screening of 3,678 individuals.
Under PM Jan Aarogya Yojana, 38 cards were issued and KYC of 100 eligible people was done.
The Food Department completed e-KYC of 1,230 NFSA families and Aadhaar seeding of 1,248 families.
The Revenue Department disposed of 4 cases under 90A, 105 lease applications, 34 mutations, 13 building map approvals, and 9 land subdivision cases.
Municipal bodies resolved 1,826 cases of birth, death, and marriage registration; captured 448 stray cattle; and resolved 694 street-light repair complaints.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Sanbal Fortnight (24 June–9 July 2025)
During the fortnight, service delivery became a powerful medium. More than 24,000 NCD screenings, 20,000 TB screenings, treatment/vaccination of over 81,000 animals, and benefits to more than 17,000 livestock keepers were provided.
Under the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign, 2.04 lakh pits were dug and more than 2.49 lakh saplings planted.
Under social security and welfare schemes, verification of more than 2,800 pensioners and 2,000 registrations under Matru Vandana Yojana were completed.
Continuous monitoring ensured timely and effective delivery of benefits, providing immediate relief at people’s doorstep.
On this occasion, the District In-Charge Minister released the road-safety related posters — “No Helmet No Entry” and “No Seat Belt No Entry”.
