Sukma District Shines at Bastar Olympics 2025, Wins Medals in Multiple Events

Raipur, Dec 2025 – Athletes from Sukma district delivered an outstanding performance at the Bastar Olympics 2025, proudly raising the district’s flag in several competitions. In the most thrilling match, Sukma defeated Jagdalpur 1-0 in the junior boys’ football final to claim the championship. The players’ excellent coordination and sportsmanship won the hearts of the spectators.

Sukma’s athletes also achieved remarkable success in other events. In the junior long jump category, Sukma won the gold medal. In senior boys’ weightlifting, a player from the district also secured the gold medal. In badminton, Sukma players showcased exceptional skills, winning gold in the junior boys’ doubles and senior boys’ singles categories.

Regarding silver medals, Sukma athletes performed brilliantly to secure second place in badminton junior girls’ doubles, junior boys’ javelin throw, junior boys’ discus throw, senior girls’ kho-kho, and senior girls’ karate events. Additionally, Sukma won a bronze medal in the junior boys’ javelin throw. On the second day of the Bastar Olympics, Sukma claimed a total of four gold, five silver, and one bronze medal.
