The Governor underscored that the Government of India’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme is a key national initiative aimed at deepening cultural understanding, promoting unity, and enhancing appreciation of India’s diverse traditions. Reaffirming the nation’s aspiration for a developed and progressive Vikshit Bharat, he emphasised that the youth bear a significant responsibility in shaping the country’s future. He urged young people to learn about the cultures of other communities, cultivate mutual respect, and contribute to building stronger bonds of harmony. He also cautioned against the growing spread of misinformation and divisive narratives on digital platforms, stressing that initiatives like Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat play a vital role in safeguarding unity and fostering national integration. The Governor encouraged the youth to proudly promote their own culture and traditions wherever they go.

The programme began with introductory remarks by Pi Lalhruaitluangi, APS to the Governor, who also explained the purpose of the event.
