All the schemes of the government should be visible on the ground: DCM Vijay Sharma
A meeting of all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), District Panchayats of Chhattisgarh was held today at Thakur Pyarelal Panchayat and Rural Development Institute, Nimora, Raipur under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. In the meeting, a district-wise in-depth review of the ongoing works under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department was done. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma told all the CEOs that it should be ensured that all the schemes of the government are visible on the ground and reach the lower level. He stressed that no eligible beneficiary should be deprived of the benefits of the schemes. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma took information about the status of approved, completed and incomplete houses of each district and directed to expedite the housing construction work under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He directed the officials to prepare an action plan and complete them within the time limit. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma said that there is a possibility of approval of a large number of houses in the future, prepare for this in advance. Where houses are being approved, ensure in advance the information about the mansion, material supplier, availability of bank, CHC and Bank Sakhi. Where these facilities are not available, prepare an action plan and start work. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma also directed to provide the benefits of all major schemes including basic facilities to tribal families in tribal dominated areas under PM Janman Yojana. He said that there will be no shortage of funds for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and houses are being sanctioned in all Gram Panchayats. Prepare an action plan to complete these houses quickly. Principal Secretary Mrs. Niharika Barik Singh, Secretary Mr. Rajesh Singh Rana, Joint Secretary Mr. Taran Prakash Sinha, Director of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Mr. Rajat Bansal, Panchayat Director Ms. Priyanka Rishi Mahobia, Mission Director of National Rural Livelihood Mission and State Swachh Bharat Mission Ms. Jayshree Jain, and Chief Executive Officers and other senior officers of all the districts were present in the meeting.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma also reviewed the ongoing works under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA). He inquired about the achievement of Man Day Creation and the progress made against the target. Under Secure, the works approved in the year 2023-24 and 2024-25 and 266 permissible works were reviewed. The Deputy Chief Minister inquired about the preparations for organizing special celebrations at each Amrit Sarovar site on the occasion of 77th Independence Day and directed to make this program successful in all the districts. He also directed to complete the inspection 100% through the Area Officers Monitoring Visit App. During the review, the progress of social audit, cases settled and amount recovered, decisions passed on the cases registered in the Lokpal office and action report were also reviewed. Along with this, the progress of timely wage payment and Aadhaar based payment was also evaluated. The construction of Anganwadi Bhawan with the convergence of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA was also reviewed.
In the meeting, loans at minimum rate to BC Sakhis, Lakhpati Didi, women of self-help groups working in the state under Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission, pending compassionate appointment in the district, depositing 10 percent of the basic salary in the portal under the Contributory Pension Scheme of Gram Panchayat Secretaries working in the Gram Panchayats, progress of District, Janapad and Gram Panchayat Development Plan, and availability of internet through Bharatnet etc. were also reviewed.
