Two Years of State Government: Strong Foundation Laid for a Prosperous and Developed Rajasthan
Jaipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is working as a servant, treating the poor as Ganesh. He stated that it is the moral responsibility of the government to present its report card before the people. He said that without any discrimination, budget allocations were made to all 200 Assembly constituencies, and through the Vikas Rath, details of development works are being taken directly to the public.
The Chief Minister was addressing a Rural Problem Resolution Camp and the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony of development works in Lunkaransar, Bikaner district, on Tuesday. He said that in the last two years, the government has taken unprecedented and historic steps towards good governance, public welfare, and all-round development, laying a strong foundation for a prosperous and developed Rajasthan.
Government Reaching People’s Doorsteps to Resolve Issues
Shri Sharma said that rural and urban problem resolution camps are being organised with a spirit of public service. Earlier, from September 17 on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday, rural and urban service camps were organised across the state for a month. Through these camps, the administration is reaching people’s doorsteps to resolve their problems. Urban camps are facilitating services related to birth, death and marriage registration, fire NOC, trade licences, sewer connections, housing pattas, mutation, and social security schemes. In rural camps, works such as mutual land division, mutation, and opening of access roads are being addressed. He appealed to the public to take full benefit of these camps.
Steps for Farmers, Youth, Women and the Poor
The Chief Minister said several initiatives have been taken for the upliftment of farmers, youth, women and the poor. The Kisan Samman Nidhi has been increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000, and it will be raised to Rs 12,000 in phases. In the last two years, around 92,000 appointments have been provided in government services, while recruitment for 1.56 lakh posts is underway.
He said that over 12 lakh women have been made Lakhpati Didis, 10.51 lakh bicycles and nearly 40,000 scooters have been distributed, and under the Lado Protsahan Yojana, 4.60 lakh girl children have benefited from the first instalment. On December 5, during the Ganga Canal Centenary समारोह, works worth Rs 1,717 crore were launched to strengthen the canal system, which will bring prosperity to farmers. He highlighted major irrigation projects including the reconstruction of the Ferozepur Feeder, renovation of IGNP canals, the Ram Jal Setu Link Project for eastern Rajasthan, and progress on the Yamuna water agreement for Shekhawati. Daytime power supply has begun in 22 districts, with a target to cover all districts by 2027.
No Gap Between Words and Action
Shri Sharma said the double-engine government has no difference between what it says and what it does. In two years, more work has been done than the previous government did in five years. He cited achievements in irrigation coverage, farm ponds, fencing, and financial assistance to cow shelters.
He informed that in Bikaner district, youth have received 1,952 regular and 2,540 contractual appointments, farmers have received Rs 206 crore in insurance claims, thousands of women have been empowered through livelihoods, and new beneficiaries have been added under the National Food Security Scheme. Several major canal and water management projects are also underway.
Health and Other Developments
Medical and Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh said that under the Chief Minister’s leadership, healthcare infrastructure has strengthened, with recruitment on nearly 50,000 posts and cashless treatment up to Rs 25 lakh under the MA Yojana, even outside the state.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri Sumit Godara highlighted major development initiatives in Lunkaransar and surrounding areas, including municipal status and infrastructure upgrades.
