CM Chandrababu Naidu Meets Union Ministers to Boost Amaravati’s Infrastructure and Investment

Amaravati, Dec 2025 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held key discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday, focusing on the progress of major projects underway in the state. The meeting also touched upon political developments, investment opportunities, and infrastructure priorities, highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s vision for sustainable growth and development.

During the meeting, CM Naidu highlighted the strong investor response at the recent CII Partnership Summit 2025 held in Visakhapatnam. Leading Indian and global companies expressed keen interest in investing across sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, energy, and services. The Chief Minister noted that the state’s proactive policies, transparent governance, and development-oriented roadmap have strengthened investor confidence and positioned Andhra Pradesh as a preferred investment destination.

In addition to investment discussions, the Chief Minister and the Union Home Minister reviewed political developments in the state, assessing recent events, emerging issues, and the overall political landscape.

Following his meeting with Amit Shah, CM Naidu attended the CREDAI National Conclave, where he engaged with real estate leaders and presented Andhra Pradesh’s urban development vision along with new investment opportunities.

The Chief Minister also met Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss enhancing national highway connectivity to Amaravati, the state’s capital region. CM Naidu emphasized that strong road networks are vital for regional development, economic growth, and improved mobility. He requested the Centre to prioritise highways linking Amaravati with major cities across India, facilitating logistics efficiency and long-term urban growth.

A major focus of the discussions was the proposed 6-lane iconic cable-stayed bridge across the Krishna River at Muktyala–Mulapadu. CM Naidu urged the Union Government to undertake the construction of this bridge through the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The Chief Minister explained that the bridge would connect Amaravati to three major national highways, enabling seamless access to the Vijayawada–Hyderabad corridor, the Chennai–Kolkata highway, and the coastal road corridor. Additionally, the bridge would integrate with the proposed Hyderabad–Amaravati greenfield expressway, allowing high-speed connectivity between the two cities.

CM Naidu highlighted that these enhanced road connections would reduce travel time, improve logistics movement, and transform Amaravati into a mobility hub and strategic logistics node within India’s national highway network. He described the iconic bridge as a critical infrastructure project for the Andhra Pradesh capital and requested full central support for its execution.

The meetings underscored the state government’s commitment to accelerating Amaravati’s development, attracting investments, and strengthening infrastructure to support sustainable economic growth and urban transformation.
