Saras Rajasakhi National Fair–2025: A Unique Confluence of Craft, Taste, and Culture
Jaipur, December 2025 : The Saras Rajasakhi National Fair–2025, organized under the aegis of the Rajasthan Rural Livelihoods Development Council (Rajeevika) at Shilpgram, Jaipur, is emerging as a grand platform showcasing India’s diverse cultural, craft, and traditional heritage. The fair is a special attraction not only for the exquisite handicrafts of artisans from across the country but also for pure, natural, and organic products prepared by women associated with Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
On Sunday, the fair witnessed immense enthusiasm among visitors. Along with vibrant textile products, the increasing awareness about health drew large crowds to stalls offering organic food items. Visitors not only appreciated the products but also learned about their traditional and natural methods of preparation.
Products from SHGs from Uttarakhand attracted particular attention. These included chamomile tea, raw honey, buransh tea, herbal teas, apples, jaggery, ghee-based traditional sweets, and millet-based specialty teas. All these products are prepared entirely from natural ingredients without any chemical processing.
The cultural evening enthralled audiences with performances by artists from Assam, presenting Bihu, Baishali, Karbi, Dhamahi, and classical Sattriya dances. Additionally, Rajasthan’s traditional folk musical tradition, ‘Bhapang’ performances, made the evening special.
Women selling their products, Rajeevika officials, and the general public all agreed that Saras Rajasakhi National Fair–2025 has been highly successful. The fair serves as a significant platform for empowering rural women’s livelihoods and self-reliance while simultaneously presenting the country’s diverse cultural, craft, and culinary traditions in one place.
