Mumbai : The book titled ‘Parivartancha Nayak,’ which details the transformative changes in the state’s energy sector during the tenure of Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis, was released today by Mr. Fadnavis himself in Mumbai.
The release event was attended by the book’s author and Independent Director of MSEB Holding Company Vishwas Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Abha Shukla, Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister Shrikar Pardeshi, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahavitaran Lokesh Chandra, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahanirmiti Dr. P. During his two and a half years as Energy Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis implemented extensive reforms in the state’s energy sector. The Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0 accelerated the development of a 9,000 MW solar power generation project aimed at providing daytime electricity to farmers. This initiative represents the largest distributed renewable energy project in the world. Additionally, several measures were taken to promote renewable energy use, and key infrastructure projects were initiated to prepare Maharashtra for a trillion-dollar economy. Various activities were also undertaken to provide relief to farmers and general electricity consumers.
The book highlights the significant transformation in the energy sector under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis in a remarkably short period. It underscores how these changes will continue to benefit the state in the years to come.
