Police Commissioner Office in Sector 8 and Surajpur, established in 2020, awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification

Gautam Buddha Nagar/Lucknow : The Yogi government’s dedication to improving public welfare through strong law and order in Uttar Pradesh is gaining international recognition. In a major milestone for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate, established in 2020, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification for delivering exceptional police services in line with international standards, implementing an efficient problem-resolution system, and maintaining excellent administrative management.

The Police Commissioner Office in Sector 8 and Surajpur of the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate has been honored with ISO certification, making it the first commissionerate in the state to achieve this distinction. Royal Impact Certification Limited, the ISO certifying body, evaluated various services of the Commissionerate, deemed them world-class, and awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification.

The ISO certification was awarded after the certifying firm recognized the police services in Gautam Buddha Nagar, led by Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, as excellent. This recognition was based on the Commissionerate’s adherence to various standards, including infrastructure, quality management, and the effective implementation of the police charter.

In line with CM Yogi’s vision, the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate developed an action plan to enhance the quality and timeliness of police services and public complaint resolution at the administrative level. The successful implementation of this plan formed the foundation for obtaining ISO certification. As part of this initiative, a special campaign was launched to standardize operations at the Commissionerate Headquarters in Surajpur and the Sector-108 office.

The process included the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all branches, aligned with global standards. This effort encompassed aspects such as an effective police administrative system and the prompt and fair delivery of justice to both women and common citizens. The Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate’s exemplary performance in meeting these standards led to its certification.

As part of the certification process, the Royal Impact Certification Firm, conducted a thorough and detailed audit of various branches within the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate’s Surajpur headquarters and Sector 108 office. The audit covered a range of units, including IGRS, Dial-112, the complaint cell, legal cell, monitoring cell, DCRB, crime branch, passport cell, as well as compliance with various charters, women’s safety etc.

Following the audit, which assessed infrastructure, quality management, system effectiveness, and office processes, the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate was awarded ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification on August 9. The certification recognized that all procedures and protocols were aligned with international standards.

The Mission Certificate specifically notes that the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate excels in delivering police services, resolving problems, managing administrative functions, and adhering to citizen and police charters in accordance with global standards.
