Major Action Against Illegal Mining and Transportation in Aravalli Region on Jaipur Collector’s Directions; 16 Vehicles Including 2 Excavators Seized

Jaipur, December 2025 : In a major crackdown aimed at curbing illegal mining and unlawful transportation of minerals in the Aravalli mountain range area, a large-scale action was carried out on Monday under a joint अभियान led by Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni.

Mineral Engineer Shyam Chaudhary said that coordinated teams of the district administration, the Mining Department, and the Police Department conducted simultaneous operations across various police station jurisdictions and seized heavy machinery and transport vehicles used in illegal mining activities. In this action against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, 16 vehicles including two excavator machines were seized.

In Bawdi village of Kalwad tehsil under the Khoda Bishal police station area, two excavator machines and three tractor-trolleys were seized while they were found engaged in illegal mining of building stone. In the Shivdaspura police station area, one dumper involved in illegal transportation of gravel and two tractor-trolleys transporting building stone illegally were seized.

Similarly, in the Kotkhawda police station area, two tractor-trolleys involved in illegal transportation of building stone were confiscated. In the Phagi police station area, one tractor-trolley engaged in illegal mineral transportation was seized. Additionally, in the Mokhampura police station area, two tractor-trolleys involved in illegal transportation of gravel and one tractor-trolley used for illegal transportation of building stone were seized.

As part of the ongoing drive against illegal mineral transportation, one tractor-trolley transporting building stone illegally was seized in the Galta Gate police station area, while another tractor-trolley involved in illegal transportation of gravel was seized in the Khoda Bishal police station area.

Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, during a meeting with concerned officials on Sunday, issued strict instructions that any form of illegal mining causing damage to the ecology of the Aravalli region would not be tolerated under any circumstances, and stringent action must be taken. He stated that strict legal action against those involved in illegal mining will continue, and such joint enforcement drives will be carried out regularly in the future as well.
