Administrative Approval Granted for 33 Roads Through the Efforts of Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwade
Construction Works to Be Taken Up at a Cost of ₹150.56 Crore; Rural Connectivity to Be Further Strengthened
Raipur, December 2025 : The Chhattisgarh government is continuously taking concrete steps toward strengthening basic infrastructure in the state. In this direction, sustained efforts by Minister for Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, and Bhatgaon MLA, Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwade, have resulted in administrative approval for 33 road construction and upgradation projects for the financial year 2025–26, with a total estimated cost of ₹150.56 crore. This significant decision will lead to a substantial improvement in transportation facilities in the rural and forest areas of Bhaiyathan and Odagi development blocks.
According to the approval issued by the Construction and Upgradation Department, the roads sanctioned under this package had long been among the key demands of local residents. Construction of these routes will ensure direct and smooth connectivity between remote and backward villages and major roads, thereby giving fresh impetus to education, healthcare, agriculture, trade, and other socio-economic activities.
Among the approved works, a major project is the construction of the Odagi Navatola Road (from 8.20 km to Dhuidih Pandopara) at a cost of ₹28.99 crore. In addition, roads such as Bhavarkhoh to Jamdi (₹9.50 crore), Khond Navapara to Kesar (₹8.73 crore), Madar to Bhadi Navapara (₹8.38 crore), and several other important routes—including the Bhaurahi Devalaya to Shivpur road in Bhaiyathan block—will be constructed or upgraded.
The construction of these roads will not only make transportation easier in rural areas but will also help farmers transport their agricultural produce more efficiently. Students will find it easier to reach educational institutions, and ordinary citizens will experience greater convenience in their daily lives. Moreover, the expansion of the road network is expected to create new employment opportunities at the local level.
Reacting to the approval of the road projects, Minister for Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwade said that the state government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. She stated that the roads approved at a cost of ₹150.56 crore would strengthen the rural economy and play a vital role in the overall development of the region. She also assured that all construction works would be completed within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with high-quality standards.
These approvals have generated enthusiasm and a positive atmosphere among local residents, who are confident that under the leadership of Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwade, construction work will begin soon and provide fresh momentum and direction to the region’s development.
