While fighting the BJP, the opposition has turned against Lord Shri Ram, forgetting that if they fight Ram, they will be finished: Sandeep Singh
Uttar Pradesh is moving forward on the principles of Kalyan Singh “Babuji”
A clear imprint of rule of law, transparency, and decisive governance is visible
Kannauj, January 2026 : While pursuing its political battle against the BJP, the opposition has moved toward a direct confrontation with Lord Shri Ram, seemingly forgetting that challenging Lord Ram leads to inevitable consequences. The firmness, transparency, and respect for the rule of law seen in Uttar Pradesh’s politics and administration today are being described as a natural continuation of the good governance model established by former chief minister Kalyan Singh “Babuji.”
These remarks were made by Uttar Pradesh’s Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh while addressing a program organized on the occasion of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh’s birth anniversary at the open-air stage, Roma Memorial, in Kannauj.
The basic education minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is moving towards a decisive, disciplined, and public-welfare-oriented system of governance, and the ideological foundation for this was laid by Babuji many years ago. Today, that same ideology is emerging in a modern context in an even more effective and result-oriented form.
He further said that Babuji was not merely a political leader, but a living symbol of principles, courage, and people-centric politics. He always thought of society and the nation before himself. This is why the policies of his tenure were not limited to any particular class or family, but were dedicated to the welfare of society as a whole. Babuji was never a supporter of family-based politics, and instead of dynastic politics, he gave priority to merit, service, and morality.
The Basic Education Minister said that when Uttar Pradesh was trapped in the quagmire of corruption, casteism, and mafia rule, Babuji clearly paved the way for the rule of law and administrative discipline. He did not treat good governance as merely a government term, but linked it to the protection and self-respect of the weak, deprived, and backward sections. His stand against crime and injustice was always fearless, clear, and decisive.
Referring to the Shri Ram temple, Sandeep Singh said that the service of Lord Shri Ram is granted only to the one whom the Lord himself chooses. For the Ayodhya temple movement, the Lord chose Babuji. Today, the Shri Ram temple stands in its grand form before the nation and the world as a symbol of Sanatan culture, faith, and national self-respect.
He said that by taking the historic decision not to use force against the kar sevaks and not to open fire, Babuji took the entire responsibility upon himself. He could have saved his power if he had wanted, because for a Chief Minister it was not impossible to stop the kar sevaks from reaching the disputed structure, but he placed faith, courage, and moral values above power.
Attacking the opposition, Sandeep Singh said that those who today speak of PDA exploited the backward classes whenever they were in power and deprived them of welfare schemes. In contrast, Babuji worked to take all sections of society along without any discrimination and laid a strong foundation of harmony-based good governance.
