MoU Signed Between RK Laxman Foundation and Dr. Homi Bhabha University Under the Chairmanship of Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil

Mumbai : Under the chairmanship of Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the RK Laxman Foundation and Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, Mumbai, to establish a caricature gallery in honor of the late RK Laxman.

Minister Patil stated that through this MoU, Dr. Homi Bhabha State University and the RK Laxman Foundation aim to develop arts education by integrating Laxman’s creative philosophy. The collaboration will focus on training students and teachers to enhance arts and communication education, while also providing opportunities to develop creative expression, reflective thinking, and communication skills.

To achieve these goals, Dr. Homi Bhabha State University and the RK Laxman Foundation will jointly create and manage arts education programs for students starting from class 11. These programs will include hands-on learning opportunities such as museum tours, workshops, and interactions with renowned artists. Additionally, the RK Laxman Foundation will provide internship opportunities at Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, focusing on practical skills and creative development for students.

The signing ceremony was attended by Vikas Chandra Rastogi, Principal Secretary of the Higher and Technical Education Department; Dr. Rajnish Kamat, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Homi Bhabha State University; Vilas Padhye, Registrar of Dr. Homi Bhabha State University; Usha Laxman, Director of the RK Laxman Foundation; Dr. Vishal Banewar; and other related officials.

During the event, the MoU was formally signed by Dr. Homi Bhabha State University Registrar Vilas Padhye and RK Laxman Foundation Director Usha Laxman.
