Make the ‘Hind-Di-Chadar’ Programme in Nanded Historic
Nanded, January 2026 : On the occasion of the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, a grand ‘Hind-Di-Chadar’ programme is being organised in Nanded on January 24 and 25, 2026. Dignitaries appealed at a press conference for citizens from all sections of society to attend in large numbers and make the programme historic.
The press conference was held at the Guru Granth Sahib Bhavan, Sachkhand Public School. Present on the occasion were District Collector Rahul Kardile, Chief Jathedar of Takht Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib Gurdwara Abchalnagar, Nanded, Sant Baba Kulwant Singh Ji, along with Bhai Josinder Singh Ji, Bhai Ram Singh Ji, Bhai Kashmir Singh Ji, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Ji, Sant Gyani Harnam Singh Ji, and Sant Baba Balwinder Singh Ji of Gurdwara Langar Sahib. Also present were Committee President Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh, Sarjeet Singh Gill, State-level Committee Coordinator Rameshwar Naik, Mahendra Raichura (Regional Head, Dharma Jagran – Western Region), Mahant Sunil Maharaj, Mahant Jitendra Maharaj, and Kishanrao Rathod, Founder of the National Banjara Council, among others.
The ‘Hind-Di-Chadar’ programme is being jointly organised at Modi Ground in Nanded city by the State Government’s Minority Development Department, the State-level Committee, and various communities including Sikh, Sikligar, Banjara, Labana, Sindhi, Mohyal, Valmiki, Udasi, Bhagat Namdev (Varkari sect) and several other social groups.
Jathedar Sahib Bhai Kulwant Singh Ji and Sant Gyani Harnam Singh Ji elaborated on the significance of the ‘Hind-Di-Chadar’ programme and highlighted the contributions of the Sikh community and other communities associated with the event. They expressed gratitude to the Maharashtra Government for its important support and appealed to devotees to participate in large numbers.
District Collector Rahul Kardile stated that preparations for the successful conduct of the ‘Hind-Di-Chadar’ programme, being organised jointly by the Maharashtra Government and various communities, are progressing at a rapid pace. He assured that complete care would be taken to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience. For smooth execution, 25 different committees have been constituted, and officers and staff assigned to them are working diligently as per their responsibilities. District-wise parking locations have been finalised, while schools, colleges, and open spaces in the city have been made available for accommodation. Traffic management has been carefully planned, and necessary transport arrangements are being made. Since Nanded is well connected by rail, coordination with the Railway Department is underway to provide maximum railway facilities to devotees. Daily reviews are being conducted for arrangements related to langar, accommodation, water supply, and transport, while medical facilities will be provided through various hospitals. Several health stalls will be set up at the venue. For publicity and outreach, competitions are being organised in schools, and morning processions (Prabhat Pheris) will be taken out from January 15.
State-level Committee Coordinator Rameshwar Naik said that the Shaheedi Samagam is not merely a religious programme but a historic initiative conveying the message of inter-faith harmony, humanity, constitutional values, and social unity. He noted that the initiative began successfully in Nagpur, and as the next important phase, a grand two-day Shaheedi Samagam will be held in Nanded on January 24 and 25, 2026. The programme is expected to be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Chief Ministers from various states and other dignitaries. He appealed to everyone to cooperate in making the programme historic and to widely publicise it, thereby enhancing the prestige of Nanded district.
