First ‘Raj Unnati’ Meeting: CM Calls for Faster, Accountable Development

Jaipur, January 2026: The first meeting of Raj Unnati was held on Saturday at the Chief Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma. During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed seven projects and two schemes worth nearly Rs 2,000 crore and issued necessary directions. He instructed officials to ensure time-bound implementation of all projects and schemes. Taking feedback directly from complainants, he also ensured relief to the general public.

The Chief Minister directed District Collectors to regularly monitor public grievances and ensure their timely disposal. He asked for the appointment of nodal officers to resolve pending complaints and emphasized that all public-related work in government departments and offices must be carried out with complete transparency.

Shri Sharma stressed that development works must be completed on time with full accountability. He warned that strict action would be taken against officers and staff found negligent in implementing projects and schemes. He also called for better inter-departmental coordination to speed up projects, prevent cost escalation, and ensure timely benefits to beneficiaries.

Swift Action on Land Allotment

The Chief Minister instructed District Collectors to take prompt action on land allotment required for development works and to issue tenders immediately after allotment so that work can begin without delay. Where land meeting minimum standards is unavailable, he directed phased implementation. He also asked Collectors and Secretaries to adopt a proactive approach in resolving cases.

Make Rajasthan a Leader in PM Suryaghar Scheme

To accelerate progress under the PM Suryaghar 150 Units Free Electricity Scheme, Shri Sharma directed officials to work swiftly on a cashless alternative model. He instructed the Energy Department and District Collectors to intensify IEC activities and awareness campaigns to encourage rooftop solar installations, with the goal of making Rajasthan a leading state under the scheme.

Replace Faulty Transformers on Time

The Chief Minister directed officials to replace burnt and faulty transformers within the stipulated time. He also instructed that 100 percent annual verification of specially-abled pensioners be ensured at the earliest, even through door-to-door verification if required. Similar directions were issued for the Palanhar Scheme, including clearance of pending payments.

Upgrade HIRAPURA Bus Terminal

Shri Sharma directed that work related to bus routes and passenger facilities such as sheds, drinking water, and parking at Jaipur’s HIRAPURA Bus Terminal be expedited. Officials informed him that operations of Roadways and private buses have already begun and traffic is being regularly monitored.

Land Acquisition and Other Key Projects

The Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite land acquisition for the Ajmer–Chanderia Broad Gauge Doubling Project. He also reviewed progress on solid waste processing plants, faecal sludge treatment plants, sports stadiums, sub-district hospitals, and girls’ military schools across various districts, issuing detailed directions.

Regular Verification of Grievance Redressal

Taking feedback from selected complainants on the Rajasthan Sampark Helpline, the Chief Minister reiterated that good governance is the core of state policy. He directed senior officials to regularly verify grievance redressal cases. Complainants expressed satisfaction with the helpline’s effective functioning.

Senior officials, including the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretaries, attended the meeting, while divisional commissioners and district collectors joined via video conferencing.
