Telangana Rising Hosts Tata Group at WEF 2026 to Discuss Vision 2047 and Strategic Growth Initiatives
Davos, Jan 2026 : A distinguished engagement unfolded at the TCS Pavilion on Day 2 of the World Economic Forum 2026, as the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy–led ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation hosted a breakfast meeting with Tata Group Chairman Shri Natarajan Chandrasekharan. The discussion spotlighted Telangana’s Vision 2047, its progressive policies, and strategic initiatives aimed at positioning the state as a global hub for talent, innovation, and industrial development.

During the meeting, the delegation presented the carefully structured Telangana Rising 2047 roadmap, emphasizing long-term collaborations and transformative projects. Chandrasekharan appreciated the state’s approach of promoting its ecosystem and strategic vision rather than merely seeking investments, highlighting Telangana’s forward-thinking model.
The Chief Minister detailed key initiatives, including the partnership with Tata Technologies to convert 65 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into Advanced Technology Centers (ATCs), upgrading government polytechnic colleges, and the Young India Skills University (YISU) chaired by Shri Anand Mahindra. Discussions also covered the Young India Sports University and Telangana’s plans to enhance public sports infrastructure in preparation for the 2036 Olympics. CM Reddy proposed modernizing Hyderabad’s major stadiums with Tata support, a suggestion welcomed by Chandrasekharan.
Minister Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu highlighted the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, which drew investments totaling Rs 5.75 lakh crore, and reiterated that WEF 2026 is focused on presenting Vision 2047 and the state’s regional economic framework. Chandrasekharan lauded Telangana’s achievements in talent development, innovation, and infrastructure creation.

Key discussions also explored naming the greenfield expressway connecting Bharat Future City to ORR and RRR as Ratan Tata Road, erecting a statue of Ratan Tata, and potential hospitality ventures, including hotels in temple towns and a world-class resort along the Srisailam highway. Plans to develop the Gandhi Sarovar as part of the Musi Riverfront transformation were shared, alongside proposals for EV, semiconductor, and AI data center projects, positioning the Musi Riverfront as a future economic corridor. The Tata Group expressed keen interest in Musi rejuvenation, drawing on its experience with similar projects in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
Minister Shri Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, along with senior officials, participated in the discussions, reflecting the strong collaborative spirit between Telangana and Tata for the state’s transformative growth. The engagement underscored Telangana’s commitment to creating a robust ecosystem for industrial, technological, and infrastructural excellence as part of its Vision 2047 strategy.
