CM hears grievances of people from different parts of Uttarakhand at Mukhya Sevak Sadan
Dehradun, Sept 2026 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday heard the grievances of people from different parts of the state at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, located at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office, and directed officials to ensure their prompt, effective and time-bound resolution.
People raised issues related to roads, drinking water, electricity, healthcare, education, revenue, pensions, employment, financial assistance and various other regional and individual concerns before the Chief Minister.
After listening to the grievances, Dhami instructed the concerned officials to take immediate and effective action to resolve the issues within the stipulated timeframe. He said matters that can be addressed at the district or departmental level should not remain unnecessarily pending at the government level. Officials should prioritise such cases and ensure their disposal at their respective levels.
The Chief Minister said resolving public grievances remains one of the state government’s top priorities. He stressed that officials at every level of the administration must listen to people’s concerns with sensitivity and ensure their resolution at the earliest in accordance with the rules.
Dhami also called for improving the administrative system so that people do not have to make repeated visits to government offices to get their legitimate work done.
He said the state government is strengthening mechanisms such as CM Helpline-1905, public grievance hearings and the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ initiative to make grievance redressal more effective.
Through the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ programme, the government and administration reach out directly to people to address their problems and connect eligible beneficiaries with various welfare schemes and public services. During earlier camps, complaints related to different departments were resolved and eligible people were also provided benefits under government schemes.
Dhami said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which began on September 17, will continue across the state until October 17, 2026. Various programmes focusing on service, public participation, dialogue and innovation are being organised under the campaign.
As part of the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’, camps under the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ programme, along with health and multipurpose camps, will be organised to take Central and state government schemes and services directly to the people.
The Chief Minister directed officials to take every case received during public hearings seriously. He called for regular monitoring of grievance redressal and stressed that solutions should not remain confined to paperwork, but should provide actual relief to the concerned individuals.
He further emphasised better coordination among the government, district administration and departments to make grievance redressal more effective. Officials were directed to work with sensitivity and accountability on matters concerning public welfare and ensure timely delivery of services.
During the programme, Dhami also met Uttarakhand sportspersons who won medals at the 9th Heroes International Taekwondo Championship-2026, held from July 31 to August 2 in Pattaya, Chonburi, Thailand.
Mannu Sonkar, Shivani Dabsa, Mohammad Zaki and Mukul won gold medals, while Megha Sharma and Dhananjay Dhariwal secured bronze medals. The Chief Minister congratulated all the medal winners and wished them a bright future.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup, Additional Secretary J.C. Kandpal, Dehradun District Magistrate Dr Ashish Chauhan, Dehradun SSP Premendra Doval and officials from the Chief Minister’s Office were present on the occasion.
