Polling parties to be dispatched from Shri Bhawani Niketan College of Pharmacy on Sikar Road; Two-shift arrangements made for training and distribution of election material
Instructions issued to ensure robust arrangements for polling at 565 booths on September 9
Jaipur, September 2026: The campaign for the first phase of the Urban Local Body General Elections-2026 has concluded. Polling parties for elections to two Municipal Councils and 16 Municipalities, where polling will be held on September 9 from 7 am to 6 pm, will be dispatched on September 8 in two shifts, beginning at 7 am and 11 am.
As per the schedule prepared by the District Election Officer (Municipal), polling parties will depart from Shri Bhawani Niketan College of Pharmacy on Sikar Road, Jaipur, to facilitate smooth arrangements for their dispatch, return and collection. Comprehensive arrangements have been made at the dispatch centre for training of polling parties, distribution of election material and their security.
In the first shift, polling parties for Manoharpur (35 booths), Phulera (25), Sambhar (25), Naraina (25), Kishangarh-Renwal (35), Shahpura (71), Dudu (25), Chaksu (36) and Phagi (20) will be dispatched.
In the second shift, arrangements will be made for polling parties for Jobner (20 booths), Khejroli (25), Jamwa Ramgarh (35), Vatika (25), Kanota (20), Bassi (35), Bagru (35), Kaladera (20) and Chomu (53). Together, polling parties for a total of 565 booths will be dispatched in the two shifts.
Separate arrangements have been made at the designated venue for the seating of polling personnel, their training and the collection of election material. Personnel from the concerned cells and ERO/RO offices have been deployed for distribution of election material. Polling parties will be provided with all necessary materials as per the prescribed procedure and will thereafter proceed to their respective polling stations.
District Election Officer (Municipal) Sandesh Nayak has directed officials to ensure that training, distribution of election material, vehicle arrangements and other necessary facilities are completed in a timely manner during the dispatch of polling parties. The objective is to ensure that the first phase of polling on September 9 is conducted in a free, fair, smooth and orderly manner.
Sensitive and critical polling stations have also been identified across the wards of the 18 urban local bodies. The District Election Officer said that 152 critical polling stations have been identified across the 18 urban local bodies.
These include 23 in Chomu Municipal Council; 5 in Kaladera; 8 in Khejroli; 20 in Shahpura; 8 in Manoharpur; 5 in Sambhar Lake; 5 in Phulera; 7 in Naraina; 5 in Jobner; 8 in Kishangarh-Renwal; 8 in Vatika; 7 in Bagru; 5 in Dudu; 6 in Phagi; 7 in Jamwa Ramgarh; 13 in Chaksu; 4 in Bassi; and 8 in Kanota.
