Jaipur, August 2026 : The UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, has invited Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to visit the UAE.  Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri gave this invitation  at the Rambagh Palace Hotel in Jaipur on Thursday where he participated in the UAE-Rajasthan Tourism and Investment Round Table meeting with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma  . On this occasion CM  Bhajan Lal Sharma invited UAE companies to invest in various sectors in Rajasthan, including energy and hospitality. CM emphasised that investment in Rajasthan by the UAE companies would be a win-win situation for both Rajasthan and the UAE.

The Chief Minister stated that Rajasthan—rich in forts, palaces, havelis, deserts, wildlife sanctuaries, gems and jewelry, handicrafts, textiles, and minerals—offers immense investment potential for UAE companies. The state government will provide all possible support for investments in Rajasthan; investing here ensures only gains, not losses.

He mentioned that the state has implemented several policies, including the Rajasthan Aerospace and Defence Policy, to foster a favourable industrial environment. Today, Rajasthan is rapidly moving towards self-reliance in the energy sector. Furthermore, in line with the Prime Minister's guiding principle of " Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi " , the government has identified 662 historic havelis in the Shekhawati region for conservation.

Praising the UAE leadership, the Chief Minister noted that the UAE took special care of the safety and needs of the Indian community during the Gulf crisis. He added that the relationship between the leadership of India and the UAE has consistently strengthened. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE in May 2026 has given fresh momentum to this partnership. Bilateral trade between the two nations has consistently exceeded $100 billion over the past two years. He noted that the approximately 4.5 million Indians residing in the UAE serve as a strong bridge between the two countries; this includes a significant number of expatriates from Rajasthan.

UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri remarked that the relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is truly special. He highlighted the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the Government of India and the UAE.

Expressing his fondness for India, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri praised the local cuisine, particularly Rajasthan's Kaju Katli. He noted that hospitality plays a major role in the UAE, just as it does in Rajasthan. UAE companies are keen to invest in Rajasthan's hospitality sector. Additionally, there is a desire to further enhance air connectivity between Jaipur and Dubai.

He stated that the UAE-Rajasthan Tourism and Investment Round Table meeting would further strengthen the partnership between India and the UAE.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas; Secretary of Tourism Shuchi Tyagi; Amna Al Nowais, Chief Strategy and Asset Officer of Rotana Hotel Group; Ralph Porciani, CEO of JA Resorts & Hotels; Amit Dhamani, MD & CEO of Dhamani Group; Raj Rana, CEO of Citymax Hotels & Foodmark (Landmark Group); and Sonu Jalam, Rajasthan Store Head of Malabar Gold & Diamonds, alongside other representatives from the UAE and Rajasthan's hospitality sectors and relevant officials.
