Udaipur Receives Major Boost: Nandeshwar to Gogunda Road Revamp Approved
Jaipur : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan government is making persistent efforts to strengthen the state’s transport infrastructure. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari recently met with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, to seek support for the development of various roads and large-scale projects in the state. Following this, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved ₹1,154.47 crore, which includes the revamp of the Nandeshwar-Gogunda road in Udaipur district.
The Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) will be utilized for widening and strengthening 748.80 km of state roads and constructing a high-level bridge over the Kalisindh River in Kota under the Setu Bandhan Yojana. In Udaipur district, ₹65.25 crore has been sanctioned for the strengthening of the 39 km stretch connecting Gogunda, Majawda, Ubeshwar, Dhar, Rampura, Sisarama, Nayakheda, and Nandeshwar up to National Highway 58E.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for this significant approval. She called it a vital milestone for Rajasthan, as the sanctioning of ₹1,154.47 crore for 27 state roads by the central government is a major step toward accelerating the state’s infrastructure and development.
