Chief Municipal Officer suspended over irregularities
The state government has suspended the Chief Municipal Officer of Dallirajhara Municipality, Mr. Bhupendra Wardekar. During his posting as the Chief Municipal Officer-in-Charge in Kondagaon Municipality, serious irregularities were found in the renovation work of the Chairman’s chamber and purchase of furniture. Considering it a serious misconduct, the state government has suspended him with immediate effect. During the suspension period, he will be eligible for subsistence allowance as per rules.
During the suspension period, Shri Wardekar’s headquarters has been fixed as the Regional Joint Director’s Office, Jagdalpur, Department of Urban Administration and Development. While sending a copy of the suspension order issued by the Ministry to the Director of Urban Administration Department, the State Government has directed to send the draft of the charge sheet to the department within the time limit for disciplinary action against Shri Bhupendra Wardekar.
