Odisha Wins Gold in Men’s Hockey Final
Raipur, April 2026 : Odisha won the gold medal in the men’s hockey final at the Khelo India Tribal Games, defeating Jharkhand 4-1 in an impressive performance at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium in the state capital.
Jharkhand started the match aggressively and took an early 1-0 lead in the first quarter. However, Odisha made a strong comeback in the second quarter, scoring two goals to take a 2-1 lead.
The contest remained intense till the third quarter, but Odisha maintained its dominance and extended the score to 3-1. In the final quarter, Odisha added another goal to strengthen its lead and eventually secured a convincing 4-1 victory.
Both teams displayed a competitive spirit throughout the match, but Odisha’s well-planned strategy and better coordination proved decisive. With this win, Odisha clinched the gold medal, while Jharkhand settled for silver.
