Jharkhand CM Reviews Healthcare Services, RIMS-2 Project and Mini Secretariat Plan

Ranchi, April 2026 : Chief Minister Hemant Soren chaired a high-level review meeting at the Jharkhand Ministry to assess the functioning of the Health Department and the Building Construction Department. The meeting focused on improving the quality of healthcare services, availability of medical facilities, and strengthening health infrastructure across the state.

During the review, the Chief Minister closely examined the progress of the RIMS-2 building project along with its structural and design aspects. After reviewing the project overview, he directed officials to ensure that the facility is developed as a robust, modern, and patient-friendly institution. He also offered key suggestions to enhance the building’s design and functionality to meet future healthcare needs.

In a significant step, Soren interacted online with doctors from various districts to assess the condition of patients admitted in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). He reviewed the availability of medical equipment, treatment facilities, and hospital management systems. The Chief Minister instructed officials to further strengthen treatment mechanisms and ensure that patients receive efficient and high-quality care across all districts.

The meeting also included a review of the proposed “Mini Secretariat” project, aimed at redeveloping the existing project building into a modern administrative hub. Detailed discussions were held on the structure, usability, and operational efficiency of the proposed facility. The Chief Minister emphasised the need to design the building in line with modern administrative requirements and improve overall functionality.

He directed officials to ensure that all ongoing and proposed projects are completed within stipulated timelines while maintaining high standards of quality. Stressing a coordinated approach, Soren urged departments to work collectively to enhance healthcare services and infrastructure for the benefit of the public.

Senior officials from the Health Department and Building Construction Department were present at the meeting. The review highlights the state government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery systems and developing modern infrastructure to meet growing administrative and medical needs.
