LIT Will Continue to Produce World-Class Engineers: CM Devendra Fadnavis
Nagpur, May 2026 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence that the Lakshminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), which has been functioning for over eight decades, will continue to produce outstanding engineers for both India and the world in the future.
He was speaking after performing the groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed integrated campus of the Lakshminarayan Institute of Technology. The new development will include various academic and administrative facilities under one परिसर. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Mayor Neeta Thakre were present as chief guests on the occasion.
Fadnavis noted that the institution was granted university status a few years ago, which has significantly enhanced its stature. He said that the upcoming modern and well-planned campus will further strengthen its identity as an international-level educational institution.
The Chief Minister performed the ceremonial groundbreaking after lighting the lamp. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Atul Vaidya delivered the introductory remarks, stating that after being granted university status, the institution was renamed as Lakshminarayan Innovative Technological University.
The event was conducted by Saurabh Jogalekar, while Registrar Dr. Neeraj Khati delivered the vote of thanks. Several dignitaries were present, including MLAs Vikas Thakre and Kripal Tumane, Chairman of the University’s Governing Board Dr. Ganpati Yadav, and Chief Advisor Mohan Pande.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the university will play a vital role in shaping future talent and contributing to technological advancement at both national and global levels.
