During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the police administration to remain fully alert and proactive in crime control and stressed that no negligence in maintaining law and order would be tolerated.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to continuously monitor the law and order situation in the state and ensure the safety and security of citizens as the highest priority. He also directed that major criminal cases be identified and regularly monitored for effective action.

Immediate Action in Missing Children and Women Cases

The Chief Minister instructed officials to give top priority to cases involving missing children and women. He directed authorities to focus especially on ensuring the safe recovery of all missing persons. Hemant Soren said that providing a fear-free environment to the people of the state remains one of the government’s foremost priorities.

Crack Down on Drug Supply Chains

Expressing concern over the spread of narcotics, the Chief Minister ordered strict action against the trafficking and sale of drugs. He directed officials to launch a special campaign against those involved in the illegal narcotics trade and immediately break the supply chain.

The Chief Minister instructed police officials to identify locations where drugs are being bought and sold and take strict legal action against offenders. He also asked authorities to closely monitor areas around schools, colleges, and educational institutions where large numbers of youth gather, so that drug suppliers can be identified and stopped effectively.

Strict Measures Against Opium Cultivation

Hemant Soren directed officials to ensure that opium cultivation is completely stopped in the state. He specifically instructed authorities to maintain special vigilance in Khunti, Chatra, and Ranchi districts.

The Chief Minister said continuous monitoring should be carried out against illegal opium cultivation and awareness campaigns should also be conducted among local residents.

Better Coordination Between Police and Public

The Chief Minister instructed Superintendents of Police (SPs), Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), and station in-charges posted in districts to remain available in their offices during designated hours and maintain continuous communication with the public.

He said police officials should listen to people’s grievances carefully and ensure quick resolution of issues. Emphasising public trust in policing, Hemant Soren directed officers to establish better coordination with citizens.

The Chief Minister further instructed police officials to regularly visit not only urban areas but also rural regions and directly interact with villagers to understand and resolve their concerns. He said surprise inspections and active engagement in rural areas would help strengthen people’s trust in the police administration.

Organised Crime Must Be Curbed

Hemant Soren directed officials to deal strictly with organised crime in the state. He said the state government is providing full support and necessary facilities to the police administration to effectively curb organised criminal activities.

No Protection for Land Mafias

The Chief Minister also expressed concern over rising land-related disputes, especially in areas adjoining urban centres. He instructed officials handling such matters to remain extremely vigilant and ensure that land mafias do not receive any kind of protection from the police or administration.

Hemant Soren said cases related to land disputes and land crimes are increasingly being reported from areas surrounding cities, and strict legal action must be ensured in such matters.
