Landmark Drive to Remove Encroachments from Waqf Properties: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that today the Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board is leading the country through various innovations. Waqf properties in the state have been digitised through the Waqf Board, for which the Government of India conferred the prestigious SKOCH Award. This transparent system has emerged as a model for the entire country. He said that the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has emerged as the country’s best Waqf Board. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Scholarship Distribution Programme organised by the Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal, on Monday.

Rahim and Raskhan Gave Message of Harmony

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that India believes in the culture of harmony and coexistence exemplified by Rahim and Raskhan. He said that people from every community in the country have faith in the rule of law, which makes India an ideal nation in the eyes of the world.

People of Kashmir Drove Away Enemy Forces, Reflecting India’s Ideal Culture

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that when hostile forces from the neighbouring country entered Jammu and Kashmir, the local people strongly opposed them and forced them to retreat. He said that the people of India always act with wisdom, which reflects the country’s strong traditions and ideal culture.

Prime Minister’s Initiative and Madhya Pradesh’s Leading Role

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah have encouraged constructive reforms through the new Waqf laws. While the income of Waqf Boards across states is increasing, there is also satisfaction in working with honesty and transparency. He said that the new Waqf law has ensured better protection of many Waqf properties. Prime Minister Shri Modi has introduced a transparent, good-governance-oriented system through the new legislation, which has helped curb encroachments. Madhya Pradesh is playing a leading role in this effort.

Waqf Reforms Historic in Nature

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that reforms of such magnitude in the Waqf sector had never been undertaken since Independence. He lauded the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board for its commendable efforts towards the protection and better management of Waqf properties. The Chief Minister also informed that a new Waqf building is proposed to be constructed and will be named after former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Transparency Through Digital Portal

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a transparent work system has now been implemented. Through the Umeed Portal, all Waqf properties have been digitised and officially recorded. He appreciated the Board’s efforts to remove encroachments from Waqf properties.

Waqf Properties Now Secure, Increased Revenue Opportunities for Board

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the new Waqf law has strengthened the protection of Waqf properties and helped prevent encroachments in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the Board is also getting opportunities to enhance its income. He reiterated that Prime Minister Shri Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Shah have promoted transparency and accountability through the new Waqf laws.

Government Will Fully Supports Education of Sons and Daughters

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that sons and daughters from minority communities should advance through education and fulfil their dreams. The Madhya Pradesh Government will provide them with full support. He also highlighted the contribution of donors who are helping educate underprivileged children and said that the state government would continue to support such initiatives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed religious leaders and public representatives present at the programme and congratulated the 849 students who received scholarships.

Tribute to Captain Hamid’s Courage and Valour

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav recalled the courage and valour of Captain Hamid during the Indo-Pak war and said that the nation can never forget how he destroyed several enemy tanks through extraordinary bravery. He added that Captain Hamid laid down his life while placing the security of the nation above all else.

Students Should Benefit from ‘Padho-Padhao aur Rashtra Nirman Mein Bhagidar Bano’ Scheme: Dr. Sanwar Patel

Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board, Dr. Sanwar Patel, said that scholarships are being distributed to students under the “Padho-Padhao aur Rashtra Nirman Mein Bhagidar Bano” scheme. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, continuous efforts are being made to make Madhya Pradesh developed and prosperous. He added that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi introduced new laws to address challenges related to Waqf management, and the state government under Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is working for public welfare and the education of sons and daughters through these reforms.

Dr. Patel said that action against Waqf mafias has strengthened governance in the state, and all Waqf Board properties in Madhya Pradesh have now been digitised. Due to this achievement, Madhya Pradesh secured first position in the country and received the SKOCH Award. Digitisation has enhanced transparency and exposed those involved in hidden collusion and irregularities. He said that the Board is ensuring that no mafia or land mafia exploits religious properties and that Waqf assets are being managed more effectively.

Success in Reducing Dropout Rate of Girls in Schools and Colleges

Dr. Sanwar Patel said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stands firmly with meritorious students across the state. As a result, 849 meritorious students are being honoured with scholarships. Financial support is also being provided to poor and needy boys and girls pursuing studies up to the medical college level. He said that the increased income of the Waqf Board due to the new laws has enabled greater assistance for the education of poor girls. He added that efforts under Auqaf-e-Amma have proved effective in reducing dropout rates among girls in schools and colleges. The Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has also decided to plant five lakh saplings on its properties this year. A new building of one of the Waqf schools will be named after former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

CEO of the Waqf Board Smt. Farzana Ghazal, City Qazi Mushtaq Ali Nadvi, District Waqf Board President Shri Aslam Bhai, several public representatives and a large number of Muslim students were present at the programme.
