Governor Congratulates Krishna Swaminathan on His Appointment as Naval Chief
Mumbai, May 28, 2026 : Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, who has been appointed as the Chief of the Indian Navy and currently serves as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, paid a courtesy visit to Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Verma at Raj Bhavan (Lok Bhavan), Mumbai, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Governor congratulated Admiral Swaminathan on his appointment as the Chief of the Indian Navy and extended his best wishes for a distinguished and successful tenure ahead.
The Governor appreciated his service and leadership in the Indian Navy and expressed confidence in his ability to further strengthen the maritime capabilities of the country in his new role.
