Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Celebrate Padma Award Winners
Hyderabad, Jan 2026 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended their warm congratulations to the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardees from their respective states.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his delight that State Government Advisor and renowned oncologist Nori Dattatreyudu has been honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his exceptional contribution to medicine. He also congratulated the Padma Shri recipients, including Gaddamanugu Chandramouli, Krishnamurthy Balasubramanian, and Kumaraswamy Thangaraj in Science and Technology; G Venkat Rao and Palkonda Vijayanand Reddy in Medicine; Mamidi Rama Reddy in Animal Husbandry; and Mamidala Jagadish Kumar, Vempati Shashi Shekhar, and Vempati Kutumba Shastri in Education and Literature. In the Arts category, Deepika Reddy, Murali Mohan, Rajendra Prasad, and Garimella Balakrishna Prasad received the Padma Shri.
The Telangana Chief Minister lauded the awardees for their dedication, hard work, and service to society, highlighting their contributions to diverse fields including service, arts, medicine, education, and science.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also extended his heartfelt congratulations to all Padma awardees from the state. Posting on ‘X’, he said, “Through their dedication and excellence in their respective fields, each of them has served the nation and made outstanding contributions to its progress. Their journeys stand as a source of inspiration for the entire nation.”
Naidu’s son and Andhra Pradesh minister, Lokesh, congratulated the four Padma Shri recipients from the state, highlighting their achievements. He noted that Rajendra Prasad’s lifelong dedication to Telugu cinema and Garimella Balakrishna Prasad’s devotion to Annamacharya kirtanas and classical music have elevated Andhra Pradesh’s cultural and spiritual heritage on a national level.
In another post, Lokesh celebrated Maganti Murali Mohan and Vempati Kutumba Sastry, saying, “Sri Murali Mohan garu’s decades-long contributions to Indian cinema and public life have been exceptional, while Sri Kutumba Sastry garu’s mastery of Kuchipudi has taken our classical arts to global stages. Andhra Pradesh is proud of this recognition today.”
Both Chief Ministers emphasized that these awards reflect the dedication and excellence of the recipients and serve as inspiration for citizens across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
