Strict action will be taken against Madarsas operating against the rules in the state

School Education and Transport Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh has said that strict action will be taken against the madarsas operating against the rules in the state. For this, the officers of the School Education Department have been instructed to complete the physical verification of all such madarsas, which are recognised by the Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board, within the stipulated time limit. He said that in the investigation conducted earlier, 56 madarsas in the state were found to be against the rules in the physical verification. The recognition of these madarsas has been terminated and their grant has been stopped.

Minister Shri Singh said that Article-28 (3) of the Indian Constitution clearly mentions that religious education should not be given to children in any educational institution without the consent of the parents nor should they be forced for it. Minister Shri Singh said that all the educational institutions in the state will have to follow the new education policy. Along with this, the Right to Education will also have to be followed. Action will be taken strictly to cancel the recognition of educational institutions found to be against the policy.

Commissioner of Public Instructions also issues instructions

Commissioner of Public Instructions has issued necessary instructions to the departmental officers in this regard. It has been said in the instructions that physical verification of the madarsas recognised by Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board should be undertaken.

If madarsas are found to be operating against the rules, then their recognition should be canceled and grant should be stopped. It has been clarified in the instructions that any person present in any educational institution should not be forced to participate in any religious education given in such institution and to be present in religious worship, unless the parents of the children have given their consent for this. Strict action should be taken against the institution operating against this policy.
