Commerce & Industries Minister Attends Launch Of “Made By Mizo” Website

Aizawl, February 2026: The launch event of MadeByMizo.com, a marketing website created under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) – MZ4 Marketing Intervention, was held today at Lianchhiari Run Conference Hall, Treasury Square. The website has been developed to promote and market a wide range of products manufactured and handcrafted by the Mizo people. The event was graced by Pu F. Rodingliana, Minister, Commerce & Industries Department, as the chief guest. Pu J.K. Dawngzuala, Chairman of ZOHANDCO, attended as guest of honour, while Pu L.P. Lalchangkima, Managing Director, ZOHANDCO, chaired the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Pu F. Rodingliana said that although many Mizos are already engaged in business using IT platforms, there has been a lack of a reliable and well-organised platform that benefits both buyers and sellers. He expressed happiness that a trustworthy e-commerce initiative has now been created, which can also be relied upon by buyers outside the state. He noted that one of the biggest challenges faced in marketing locally produced goods has been weak market linkages. To address this issue, the Mizoram Government has been actively implementing its Handholding Policy, and the MadeByMizo.com initiative aligns perfectly with this ongoing policy effort.

The Minister emphasised that MadeByMizo.com is not just another website, but a gateway of opportunity for entrepreneurs, businesspersons, skilled artisans, and farmers. Through this platform, products made in the most remote villages can reach customers who need them, while producers will gain access to international markets. He congratulated all those who worked tirelessly and thoughtfully to make this e-commerce platform a reality and urged everyone to continue striving to ensure that only the best-quality products and authentic Mizo handcrafted goods are showcased and sold.

During the launch programme, Pu L.P. Lalchangkima, who chaired the event, delivered the welcome address. Guest of honour Pu J.K. Dawngzuala also expressed appreciation for the creation of such a valuable website that provides a platform for showcasing and selling Mizo-made products. Pu Zodinpuia, Liaison Officer, RAMP, delivered the vote of thanks and formally concluded the programme.

MadeByMizo.com serves as a curated platform for high-quality Mizo products, selected carefully for promotion and distribution to markets outside the state. Only products made using Mizo craftsmanship and raw materials sourced from Mizoram are featured. Transparency regarding the sourcing of raw materials, the place of production, and the producers themselves is also considered important. The website categorises products into various sections such as food and beverages, clothing, health-related items, handicrafts, and others.

MadeByMizo.com is not an open marketplace. Businesses interested in joining the platform can send a direct message to the madebymizo Instagram page. Those selected will be provided with wider marketing opportunities, extending beyond Mizoram to other states. In addition, MadeByMizo kiosks will be set up in Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Delhi, where selected Mizo products will be displayed and promoted.
