New Delhi, February 2026 : The Aam Aadmi Party presented a report card of one year of the BJP government in Delhi and declared it a failure in every sector. While presenting the report card, Punjab in-charge and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said that one year of the BJP government has been a year of deception against the people of Delhi. Throughout the year, the Rekha Gupta government deceived Delhi’s women, pollution control, middle class, youth, poor and the entire city. The promise of giving ₹2,500 to women was not fulfilled, Delhi was made the most polluted, a fake Yamuna was created, and slums of the poor were demolished.

Manish Sisodia said that under the BJP government, one lakh youths who were removed from their jobs are sitting at home mourning, people are losing their lives after falling into potholes on the roads, and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is celebrating the completion of one year of her government. In one year, the Rekha Gupta government has ruined Delhi’s government schools, hospitals, water supply and all public facilities. Therefore, the people of Delhi are now missing Arvind Kejriwal.

On Friday, at the AAP headquarters, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, along with Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj and senior leader and विधायक Kuldeep Kumar, held a press conference and strongly attacked the BJP government over its one year of failures. Displaying the BJP government’s poster “One year, Delhi in distress, missing Kejriwal,” Manish Sisodia said that exactly one year ago today, on February 20, 2025, the BJP government was formed in Delhi. “We are not saying that everything should have been done or everything should have changed in one year. But in the last one year, the people of Delhi have seen many deceptions of the Rekha Gupta government. In a way, the entire year has been a year of deception against the people of Delhi.”

1 – Women did not get ₹2,500
Manish Sisodia said the BJP government committed its first deception against half of Delhi’s population, that is, women. Before the elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had guaranteed ₹2,500 per month to half of Delhi’s population. While giving the guarantee, the Prime Minister had said it was Modi’s guarantee. He had said that from March 8, 2025, ₹2,500 would start coming into the accounts of Delhi’s women. This was said by the Prime Minister in all his rallies before the elections.

Manish Sisodia said the Prime Minister told the sisters to trust him, that it was Modi’s guarantee, and that he would not let March 8 turn into March 9. But not only March 8 or March 9, the entire year 2025 passed and even one year of Rekha Gupta’s government is complete, yet not a single word is being spoken about fulfilling Modi ji’s guarantee. Whether CM Rekha Gupta deceived the people of Delhi or is tarnishing Modi ji’s guarantee, only she knows, but Delhi’s women have definitely been betrayed.

2 – Deception in pollution control
Manish Sisodia said the BJP government committed its second deception against the entire population of Delhi in the name of pollution control. When Arvind Kejriwal’s government was in power, many efforts like dust control, fire control, vehicle control and odd-even were undertaken. But this time, the BJP government sat idle, and Delhi suffered the worst AQI in the world. People of Delhi breathed historically bad air. When people started raising alarm, the Rekha Gupta government manipulated AQI monitoring data. Many monitoring centres were shut down, and many were shifted to greener areas to manipulate data.

When that too did not work, machines were installed to sprinkle water around AQI monitoring centres throughout the day. Children’s lungs were getting damaged, people were breathing poison, and living in the most dangerous air, while Rekha Gupta was busy manipulating data to show reduced AQI. Despite this, nothing improved. Had there been no data manipulation, the actual figures could have been far worse. The Rekha Gupta government deceived the entire Delhi in the name of data, and the truth eventually came out.

3 – Stabbed the middle class in the back
Manish Sisodia said the third deception was against the middle class. Traditionally, the BJP holds a special place among the middle class, but the betrayal inflicted by the BJP government is unprecedented. As soon as the BJP government was formed, private schools started increasing fees sharply—some by 30 to 80 percent, others doubling or tripling fees. The middle class was the first group to come out on the streets in protest.

Private schools became so emboldened that parents began to cry. Children of those unable to pay fees were confined in school rooms, denied admit cards and barred from exams. This was a deception against parents of children studying in private schools.

4 – Fake law to deceive the middle class
Manish Sisodia said a fake law was made to deceive the middle class. Even after the law, private schools increased fees, and the government took no action against a single school. Not one school reduced fees in a year. Parents were deceived, harassed, and their children suffered continuous exploitation.

5 – Deception by renaming government schools
He said parents of children studying in government schools were also deceived. BJP cut the education budget, shut down Schools of Specialized Excellence, renamed Dr Ambedkar SOEs to “CM Shri,” destroyed the concept of specialized schools, and ended Happiness Curriculum, Entrepreneurship Curriculum, IIT and NEET coaching, and international teacher training.

6 – ‘Where there is a slum, there is a ground’
The BJP promised “where there is a slum, there will be a house,” but after forming the government started demolishing slums and unauthorized colonies, making lakhs homeless.

7 – Deception of a fake Yamuna
The government claimed Yamuna was clean, created a fake Yamuna to show cleanliness, but this deception was exposed.

8 – Over one lakh youths made unemployed
More than one lakh youths working on temporary government jobs were removed.

9 – Bus marshals still unemployed
Despite promises of permanent jobs within 60 days, bus marshals were removed. Doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, pharmacists, data entry operators, DIMTS employees and DTC conductors were also removed.

10 – Government health system crippled
Free medicines and tests have stopped, hospital funds blocked, and construction of 24 hospitals halted and handed to private players.

11 – Garbage mountains not reduced
Garbage heaps are growing, and the city is filthy.

12 – Sewer overflow and dirty water
Sewers are overflowing, dirty drinking water is entering homes, and complaints are not resolved.

13 – People falling into road potholes
Youth are dying due to potholes while the CM celebrates.

14 – Ration cards cancelled, pensions stopped
Eight lakh ration cards were cancelled, and pensions of widows and elderly stopped.

15 – Four-engine BJP government failed on security
Hundreds missing, multiple murders daily, yet the CM did not visit victims. One year of the BJP government has left Delhi’s life in distress, and everyone is missing Arvind Kejriwal.
