From ‘Self to the Universe’, Welfare of All is Our Pledge—Service is Our Supreme Duty: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Thursday attended the Sanatan Mangal Mahotsav, Sant Samagam, and Diksha Mahotsav organised in the presence of Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Hansramji Maharaj, Head (Sthanapati) of Hariseva Udasin Ashram, in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met Swami Hansramji Maharaj and received his blessings and guidance in the historic city of King Bhalraj Bhil.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, addressing scholars and devotees from across the country and abroad at the Mangal Mahotsav and Sant Samagam, said that we are the torchbearers of India’s great and glorious culture that prays for the welfare of all. The guiding principle of our culture is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. This life value inspires us to work not only for ourselves but for the welfare of the entire creation. The Sanatan Mangal Mahotsav is a living expression of this universal, benevolent spirit. While everyone lives for oneself, he said, our supreme duty of service should be to live for the well-being of all beings, humans, animals, birds, trees and all forms of life.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the roots of Indian culture lie in service, dedication, universal brotherhood and the spirit of ‘Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya’. c He remarked that ‘Ra’ from Rajasthan and ‘Ma’ from Madhya Pradesh together enhance the glory of ‘Ram’. The state government is developing all places associated with the footprints of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as pilgrimage sites. Work is underway on the Shri Ramchandra Gaman Path and the Shri Krishna Pathey.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that saints play a crucial role in promoting moral values, compassion, harmony and social cohesion in society. He praised Poojya Swami Hansramji Maharaj for upholding the values of devotion, service, truth and non-violence, and for supporting thousands of needy people through the ashram. He said he felt proud to be part of this auspicious gathering dedicated to human welfare. He said, “Culture defines our identity, and governments must work collectively to uphold life values, education, healthcare, service and environmental protection.”

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised the need to take a firm resolve to educate children in the Vedas and Puranas, instil strong moral values in them, inspire them to engage in selfless service, and uphold and protect dharma. He said that Dharma is not merely worship but a way of life. Through service one attains Shri Hari, and through devotion one attains liberation. The Chief Minister called upon everyone to unite society, impart good values to youth and work towards restoring India’s stature as a global spiritual leader.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the true auspiciousness of dharma is realised only when we imbibe the teachings of saints in our lives. Dharma is the essence of life, guiding us about who we are, our purpose and the direction we must take. The examples of Lord Shri Ram receiving education from Guru Vashishtha and Lord Shri Krishna from Guru Sandipani reflect the timeless guru-shishya tradition, which needs to be re-established in today’s times.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that through the Simhastha Kumbh, Ujjain has consistently received the blessings of saints from across the country. In the Sanatan culture, children carry forward the family lineage. He said, quoting the principle ‘Yat Pinde Tat Brahmande, that the stream of knowledge has flowed through saints for millions of years. Through them, we experience divine grace. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav explained that Simhastha is held when the planet Jupiter enters the Leo zodiac sign. The grand Simhastha Mahakumbh will be organised in Ujjain in 2028, and he invited all saints and spiritual leaders to grace the occasion and bless devotees with the nectar of their wisdom.

During the Sanatan Mangal Mahotsav and Sant Samagam, three young saints, Shri Ishanram Ji Maharaj, Shri Keshavram Ji Maharaj and Shri Sumajnararam Ji Maharaj, were initiated into sannyas. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav felicitated and honoured the newly initiated saints with garlands. Rajasthan’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperation, Shri Gautam Kumar Dak, said that Bhilwara is a sacred city and a confluence of the Hari and Har. He expressed gratitude that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had enhanced the dignity of the event by attending the festival. He informed that Swami Hansramji Maharaj is undertaking the Hansganga Yatra and described it as a highly commendable initiative. He emphasised that in Kaliyuga, one becomes what one thinks, and that this is a time for social harmony. Shri Balyogi ji said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ reflects this spirit. He also highlighted that the initiation (Diksha) tradition carries forward the ancient guru-shishya lineage, and children should be guided towards spiritual teachings from an early age.
