One Dose of HPV Vaccine to Protect Daughters from Cervical Cancer: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and sisters is the top priority of the state government. Cervical cancer is one of the most difficult challenges in the lives of daughters. A large-scale HPV vaccination campaign has been launched in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Under this initiative, daughters aged 14 years and above are being provided the vaccine, worth ₹4,000, free of cost. A single dose of the vaccine will provide lifelong protection against cervical and uterine cancer in the future and safeguard them from this serious disease.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed a free health camp and HPV vaccination event organised for women at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Cultural and Information Center in Jabalpur on Monday. He appealed to sisters and daughters to take advantage of the vaccination drive to protect themselves from cervical cancer.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed certificates to daughters who had already received the vaccine. He inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Poojan for various development works worth over ₹37 crore in Jabalpur.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is continuously advancing welfare initiatives for women, from Ladli Behnas to Ladli Laxmi daughters. To economically empower Ladli Behnas, the state government is continuously increasing the financial assistance under the scheme. More than 1.25 crore Ladli Behnas in the state are now receiving ₹1,500 every month directly in their bank accounts. The state government has also decided to provide an additional incentive of ₹5,000 to women who work in employment-oriented industries. He said significant work is being done in the state to eliminate gender inequality. The woman in the state has been provided a 50 per cent reservation in local body elections. In the future, women will also receive 33 per cent reservation in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. Daughters are moving ahead in every field, from the armed forces to various professions, building a better future.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that on March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, he visited Karila Dham in Ashoknagar district and sought the blessings of Mata Sita and her sons, Luv-Kush, praying for the welfare of all citizens of the state.

CM Gifts Development Works worth ₹37 Crore to Jabalpur

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed the Bhoomi Poojan of a modern Janpad Bhavan to be constructed at a cost of ₹10.51 crore and inaugurated the newly constructed Geeta Bhavan built at a cost of ₹27.16 crore, along with three other development works. These include a Primary Health Centre, 21 health and sub-health centres, and a solar traffic system.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the cultural charm of Sanskar Dhani Jabalpur is unique in the country. He also extended his best wishes to the citizens present at the program for the upcoming festivals of Navratri and Gudi Padwa.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Felicitates Visually Impaired Girls

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav symbolically presented certificates to Jiya Sen and Anshi Vishwakarma, who had completed the HPV vaccination. He also met and felicitated the girls of the Blind Girls’ School in Jabalpur. The Chief Ministeralso presented commendation certificates to Lakhpati Didis Aarti Chaudhary and Sita Gond.

Former Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, several welfare schemes are being launched for every section of society. The vaccination initiative to protect daughters from cervical cancer will prove to be a milestone. Mothers and sisters are extending full support to the government in taking the country and the state forward. With the help of Anganwadi and health workers in the state, people can also be made aware of the early identification of various types of cancer.

The event was attended by MLA Shri Santosh Barkade, other public representatives, officials of the Health Department, members of voluntary organisations, Ladli Behnas and a large number of daughters.
