Punjab Kings Unveil New Jersey for IPL 2026 Season

New Delhi, March 2026 : Punjab Kings (PBKS) have revealed their official match jersey for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, introducing a refreshed design that retains the franchise’s signature red and blue colours while incorporating new symbolic elements.

The redesigned jersey prominently features a lion motif at its centre, which gradually transitions into diamond-shaped patterns across the fabric. According to the franchise, the design reflects the spirit and evolution of the team. The lion symbolises instinct, aggression and raw talent, while the diamond patterns represent the transformation of that talent through discipline, preparation and the high-performance demands of top-level cricket.

PBKS enter the upcoming season with renewed confidence after finishing as runners-up in IPL 2025. The team, led by India’s ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer and coached by former Australian cricket legend Ricky Ponting, had an impressive campaign last year before losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The franchise’s new jersey will make its on-field debut when Punjab Kings begin their IPL 2026 campaign later this month. PBKS will open the season with a home match against IPL 2022 champions Gujarat Giants at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh on March 31.

Following their opening game, the team will travel to Chennai to face five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 3. The squad will then head to Kolkata for a clash with three-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Eden Gardens on April 6. After these away fixtures, PBKS will return to their home ground to host the 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Punjab Kings have been actively preparing for the new season through a series of pre-season training camps. The team began its preparations with a five-day camp in Udaipur from January 16 to January 20. This was followed by another intensive training session at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi from February 8 to February 14.

Currently, the squad is participating in another pre-season camp in Dharamsala, which will serve as PBKS’s second home venue during the IPL 2026 season.

Several IPL franchises have already unveiled their new kits ahead of the tournament. Teams such as Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants have also introduced their jerseys for the upcoming season.

With a revamped jersey and a strong squad led by experienced players and coaching staff, Punjab Kings will be aiming to go one step further this year and capture their maiden IPL title.
