Deputy CM Diya Kumari Reviews Women Empowerment Schemes
Jaipur, March 2026: Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Women & Child Development Minister Diya Kumari chaired a review meeting of the Directorate of Women Empowerment at the State Secretariat on Saturday to assess the progress of various schemes aimed at protecting women’s rights and promoting women’s empowerment.
During the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the implementation status of various programmes run by the Directorate, including the allocation and utilisation of budgets for these schemes. She directed officials to ensure that the benefits of all women empowerment initiatives, including the Lado Protsahan Yojana, reach girls and women within the stipulated time frame.
Diya Kumari also instructed officials to ensure the timely supply of free sanitary napkins to girls and women under the Udaan Scheme. She emphasised that proper monitoring and coordination should be maintained so that beneficiaries receive these essential health resources without delay.
Reviewing the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Anudan Yojana, the Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to study the scheme’s guidelines and digital portal carefully and make them more accessible and effective for the general public. She also instructed the department to ensure the full utilisation of funds by securing any pending budget allocations from the Government of India under centrally sponsored schemes.
The Deputy Chief Minister further directed that all budget announcements made in the previous financial year should be completed within the prescribed timelines. At the same time, she asked officials to make necessary preparations to implement new announcements for the upcoming financial year without delay.
Emphasising the importance of monitoring, Diya Kumari instructed the department to ensure effective supervision of the Lado Protsahan Yojana so that more girls can benefit from the initiative. She also directed officials to make the various skill development programmes run by the department more employment-oriented so that women and young girls can gain practical skills that lead to sustainable livelihoods.
The meeting focused on strengthening the implementation of welfare schemes and ensuring that the benefits of government initiatives reach women and girls across the state in a timely and efficient manner.
