CM Bhajanlal Sharma Meets Lok Sabha Speaker, Union Ministers; Discusses RRTS Connectivity and Jaipur Airport Expansion

Jaipur, March 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday met Om Birla in New Delhi. During the meeting, discussions were held on the overall development of Rajasthan and the effective implementation of welfare policies of both the Central and State governments.

Sharma also met Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal Khattar to discuss key issues related to energy and urban planning in the state. In line with the vision of “Viksit Rajasthan–2047,” detailed deliberations were held on expanding green energy, strengthening infrastructure, and exploring the possibility of connecting Rajasthan with the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).

Later, the Chief Minister met Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu. The discussions focused on the construction of a new state terminal building at Jaipur International Airport, feasibility studies for new airports in Bharatpur-Deeg and Sikar-Jhunjhunu, and ensuring continuity of flight services to major tourist destinations in the state.

On the occasion, Sharma also requested enhanced air connectivity for Manpur (Abu Road) and Banswara, along with broader expansion of civil aviation infrastructure across Rajasthan.
