Welfare of Farmers and All Sections of Society is Our Goal: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is progressing in step with the nation. The welfare of all sections of society, including the poor, farmers, women and youth, is the firm commitment of the state government. For the government, soldiers guarding the borders and farmers working in the fields are equally important. He said that farmers receive ₹12,000 annually under the Samman Nidhi, while beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana receive ₹1,500 every month. To ensure the prosperity of farmers, the state government has declared 2026 as the ‘Krishak Kalyan Varsh’. The prosperity of farmers is the foundation of the state’s overall well-being. With this objective, farmers are being encouraged to double their income through allied activities such as animal husbandry, dairy production, fisheries, horticulture, food processing and crop production. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this is a golden period for the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is leading in industrial development and in connecting youth with employment opportunities. He announced 105 development projects worth more than ₹500 crore for the Chhindwara district. These include the Tamia–Junnardeo road built at a cost of ₹133 crore, works under the Nal-Jal scheme, police housing, secondary school buildings, hostels and several other development projects. The Chief Minister also announced the construction of a new building for Chhindwara University.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred ₹157 crore under the Sambal Yojana to the accounts of 7,008 workers across the state through a single click. During the programme, ₹463 crore was also transferred to more than 55 lakh beneficiaries under various Social Security Pension schemes.
He distributed approval letters and benefits to beneficiaries of various government schemes. On the occasion of Maha Ashtami during Chaitra Navratri, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the programme in Chhindwara by lighting the ceremonial lamp and performing Kanya Pujan.
Greetings on Maha-Ashtami and Shri Ram Navami
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended his best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasions of Maha Ashtami and Shri Ram Navami. He said that Chhindwara has received development projects worth around ₹500 crore, while Pandhurna has received projects worth over ₹350 crore. The region has also had the privilege of the inauguration of Shri Hanuman Lok at Jamsawli, near Chhindwara and Pandhurna. He said that Ram Rajya appears incomplete without the presence of Lord Hanuman, and the governance of the state should reflect the ideals of Lord Shri Ram’s rule. After the construction of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, the state government is now developing Chitrakoot Dham in Madhya Pradesh as a major pilgrimage centre.
Connecting heritage with development, work on the Shri Ram Van Gaman Path is also underway in the state. Facilities are being developed at several major religious centres, including Baba Mahakal in Ujjain, Jamsawli Shri Hanuman Dham and Sharada Maiya Temple in Satna, recognising them as important pilgrimage sites.
Member of Parliament Shri Bunty Vivek Sahu said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is leading the state forward with the dedication of a Karmayogi. With the inauguration of Shri Hanuman Lok in Pandhurna, the second phase of its development has also been announced. He said that 84 sub-health centres have been approved for the tribal areas of Chhindwara. Along with industrial development in the state, new schools and hostels are also being established to secure a bright future for children. The Tamia–Junnardeo road will connect two districts, while the development of an airport in Chhindwara will give the region a new identity. He also stated that 2026 has been declared the Year of Farmer Welfare, highlighting the government’s commitment to farmers. Chhindwara is widely known as Corn (Maize) City, and development works worth over ₹350 crore have been inaugurated in the district today.
