During the meeting, senior officials presented updates on the metro project, highlighting various technical and operational challenges affecting progress, including rising costs and delays. The Chief Minister instructed that all such issues be resolved promptly to avoid further setbacks and ensure that the project adheres to its set timeline.

Emphasizing the importance of urban development, the Chief Minister also reviewed the plan to develop 11 proposed satellite townships across the state. Reviewing the JP Ganga Path Integrated Park project, officials informed that the project will span approximately 6 kilometers, stretching from Digha to Gandhi Maidan, with a target completion date of September 25, 2027. The project will include parking facilities, gardens, pedestrian pathways, cycling tracks, six playgrounds, a women’s market, and other urban amenities.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the project should be completed in an environmentally sustainable and well-planned manner, ensuring maximum public utility. He directed that infrastructure such as parking spaces and sports facilities be designed for easy public access and convenience.

After the meeting, the Chief Minister conducted an on-site inspection of the JP Ganga Path project, visiting key locations including Digha, LCT Ghat, and Bans Ghat.
